Fall of man. The chapter outlines humanity's sinful states, starting with the temptation, god's call to Adam and Eve, the curses God imposed on the three parties involved due to their acts of disobedience and rebellion against God, and finally we see God's gracious covering of Adam and Eve through the first blood sacrifice, symbolizing the foreshadowing provision of the ultimate sacrifice. Referring to the seed of the woman, this chapter pretty much highlights the sin of man and we also see God's prophetic provision of salvation for humanity. The pretext, before we dive into the text itself. In several passages in the Bible we see a visible creature is addressed, but certain statements also refer to an invisible agent or entity. Spiritual entities have no authorization to dwell in the earthly realm. They can get involved through a tangible material entity, because our world is material, our world is natural, our world is physical. So for a supernatural being or a supernatural entity, spiritual beings, in order for them to have access in our world, they need to embody a physical substance, a physical material. So in this case we see an invisible being embodied in a visible creature Satan and the snake in a visible creature, satan and the snake. So in essence, what I'm trying to say is that the snake is that visible creature, the tool in which the invisible entity, which is a spiritual being called Satan, used to get to us. Right now we're just looking at the pretext before we actually get to our text, which is Genesis, chapter 3, verse 15. So the pretext God addresses this physical serpent with punishment for being used as a tool, an instrument, as a vessel for the spiritual entity to embody, to communicate with us. The serpent offered its body for this invisible spiritual entity, in this case Satan. In Genesis, chapter 3, verse 15, god directly addresses the spiritual entity that initiated the fall of man, which is our primary focus for now. The serpent acts as the conduit for temptation, while Satan is the true cause for the fall of humanity, along with consent and participation of both Adam and Eve. Participation of both Adam and Eve our sinful condition that we find ourselves in is as a result of four parties. Involvement number one the physical, lateral serpent being used as a conduit. Number two the invisible spiritual entity which we call Satan, is the true cause of mankind's fall. He initiated the temptation by using the serpent, going to exclude the responsibility and accountability of Adam and Eve because they also consented and participated in that decision to rebel against God. I'll put enmity between you and the woman and between your offspring and us. He will crush your head and he will strike his heel. Genesis, chapter 3, verse 15. God is the I in this verse. So God is establishing a conflict between Satan and the woman Eve. This conflict is not only between Satan and the woman Eve. This conflict also continues between the seed of Satan and the seed of the woman Eve.

Speaker 1:

Although Genesis does not explicitly or precisely identify or name the serpent as Satan, the apostle John refers to Satan as that old serpent, the serpent of old, called the devil and Satan. So that is why the bible explained itself. The meaning of the scripture is a scripture. If you want to observe and interpret or obtain explanation of a verse or a passage or a book in the bible, look within the bible itself first, before you start looking at outside biblical materials. The New Testament can reveal more insight about Old Testament, and an Old Testament also speaks about the New Testament. So why am I bringing this? So that you understand why I am saying that the serpent is Satan.

Speaker 1:

Because in the New Testament, in Revelation, chapter 12, verse 9, and Revelation, chapter 20, verse 2, the apostle John refers to the serpent as Satan, the serpent of old, meaning that the serpent that was in the garden, the serpent in the ancient times, and that serpent is called the devil and Satan. You can look at John, chapter 8, verse 44, acts, chapter 13, verse 10, to really explain the moral, spiritual hostility between demons, the devil and even human agents Between them and the children of God. You see, because the Bible says we do not wrestle against flesh and blood alone, but the agents of the devil, which includes demons and human agents, and the children of God. And this conflict has been going on since Genesis and this conflict continues to go on between light and darkness, life and death, good and evil, life and death, good and evil, the kingdom of Satan and the kingdom of God, the seed of Satan and the seed of God, the children of God and the children of the devil. There's this ongoing conflict between them. This conflict started with Eve and this conflict continues with us. And, to be more specific, this conflict has been ongoing between enemies of the children of Israel, which are the children of the seed of the serpent, satan, constantly attacking the chosen people of God, the children of Israel, even us as believers who have given our lives to Jesus Christ. There's also a contention from the enemy, because we are children of God through the seed of the woman, jesus Christ.

Speaker 1:

The seed of a woman refers to a specific and a supernatural conception distinct from the seed of man. Eve refers to Seth as the seed and it is through the lineage of Seth that you and I, we have the main seed of the woman that is specific and supernatural in nature and conception, distinct from the seed of a man. Seth is the seed of a man because set was conceived between adam and eve, whereas the seed of a woman foreshadow prophecy about mary, her being a virgin conceiving by the holy spirit. The rest of genesis traces a single line of said descendants, which will eventually produce the main seed, referencing through whom all nations of the earth will be saved, as salvation is of the Jews. You can see John, chapter 4, verse 22. This promise is fulfilled with the New Testament through the coming of the Son of God, vat, mary, a virgin. The seed of a woman signifies the virgin birth of the Son of God, conceived by the Spirit of God. This is supported by the biblical references, such as in Isaiah 7, verse 14, and ultimately being fulfilled in Luke 1, verse 31, luke 34, verse 3, confirmed by Paul in Galatians 4, verse 4.

Speaker 1:

Let's examine. He shall bruise your head, you shall bruise his heel. This is the last section of Genesis, chapter 3, verse 15. Refer specifically to Christ, who is the seed of the woman, as a male figure, and to Satan as well. A conflict between the seed of the woman and the seed of a woman, who is a male figure. Who is actually? Jesus christ, the son of god, and satan himself. Jesus is the savior, the embodiment of salvation. He should ultimately crush and eternally defeat satan for the salvation of all mankind, as promised in Genesis, chapter 3, verse 15. And Jesus Christ, in his first coming, fulfilled this. He has defeated, he has destroyed the works of Satan on the cross, although the earthly ministry of Jesus Christ doing the fulfillment of this prophecy in Genesis, chapter 3, verse 15, on the way to the cross, even on the cross, satan inflicted temporary sufferings, temporary afflictions upon Jesus Christ, who is a seed of the woman, as the Bible states that the devil shall bruise his heel. And the devil did that on the cross because of our sins. This punishment is for the sins laid upon him, for mankind, not because Christ is guilty.

Speaker 1:

We can look at references in Isaiah 53,. Acts, chapter 2, verse 25 to 26,. Hebrews, chapter 2, verse 14 to 15,. Revelation, chapter 1, verse 18. The promise of the seed of a woman in view is fulfilled in Jesus Christ, the Savior of the world. Jesus Christ, the Savior of the world, which is also explicitly presented in the New Testament as overcoming Satan, in Hebrews 2, verse 14, 1 John 3, verse 8, compared John 12, verse 31. At the same time, he is bruised by Satan on the cross. What is the conclusion of all of this? The human race still has hope for salvation. God made a provision. God made the first sacrifice temporarily to cover the sins of Adam and Eve. God, in his wisdom and power, had a predetermined plan for salvation. This includes the provision for salvation, the process of salvation, the promise of salvation, the personification of a Savior coming who is the one and only begotten and beloved Son, given to die for us all out of love from the father. Therefore, genesis, chapter three, verse fifteen, has been called the proto evangelium, meaning.
