I know some of us we struggle trying to differentiate between a house and a home. A house and a home. Um I see a house as a physical structure. Uh a home is not just a house. Uh a home can be in a house. A home is not the physical aspect. What makes a house livable is the home. The home in a sense of consistent human beings who are in a in a relationship with each other to seek the interest of one another to ensure that they live in peace and unity and harmony. I believe that heaven is not just a house, not just a special house that Jesus said I'll go and and and prepare mansions. Yes, it's a big house that's where God lives. But I also believe that God wants a home because God is a God of family, and he wants all of his family, both humans and angels, to be in that special home because God is relational. So I believe that you and I as believers we should have the mindset of not just going to the house of the Lord, but we should go be part of the home of God because God is relational and God is looking to relate with us. I know some of us we decide to go to heaven because we're afraid of going to heaven, afraid to go to hell, so that's why we're like, okay, no what God, I'm gonna give my life to Jesus because I want to make it to heaven. But what is the intention of you going to heaven? Are you going to heaven because um you just want to be in that place where you don't have no personal relationship with God? God doesn't just want you and I to go to heaven just to stay there and chill and have fun, and it's all about us. No, God wants you and I to be in a home with him, he wants you and I to actually see him, relate with him, and have a relationship with him. You remember in the in the scripture in Genesis when God said that in the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. I believe Musumba said there are three types of heaven. You have the um the first heaven, the second heaven, and then the third heaven. The first heaven is the atmospheric heaven, the heaven that you and I will physically see, the sky, the clouds, and then the second heaven is where all these spiritual activities take place, where Satan rules as well. The third heaven is pretty much where God lives, that's God's abode, you know, that place is holy. So, since God is the one who created the heavens, because when you read Genesis, it says God created the heavens, meaning that there's not just one heaven, there's multiple heavens. He created the heavens and the earth. So we could say that the first, the second, and the third heavens were created. Why? Because God is internal and God is external. What do I mean by God is eternal and God is external? God is internal in a sense that God is forever, God is forever, you know. God is the uncreated creator, you know, the heavens were created. What do I mean by saying God is external? God is external in the sense that God is outside of his creation. We cannot confine God in his creation, we cannot confine God in heaven, just as we cannot confine God on earth, so we can also not confine God in the heavens because God is the omnipresence, is everywhere at the same time, is everywhere. So God is internal forever, and God is external outside of his creation. Keep that in mind because in Psalms 148, verse 13, look what it says. Let them praise the name of the Lord, for his name alone is exalted. His glory is above the earth and heaven. So the glory of God is above the earth and heaven. He is the omnipresence God. The Bible says in Isaiah 55, verse 9 that as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts. God is saying that just how the heavens, all three levels of the heavens, the first, the the second, the third, they are higher than the earth. So are the ways of God higher than our thoughts, than our ways. So we cannot really put God in a box. So we're not just going to heaven because it's a place, because God cannot be confined in a place. In Isaiah 66, verse 1. This is what the law says heaven is my throne. So God is using heaven as his throne. That throne signifies his rulership and judgment, his rulership and judgment. The throne of God is where God rules the universe. The throne of God is where God passed judgment on us and angels as well. And God also likens the earth as his footstool. So this earth is just a small portion of God's magnificent magnitude creation. If God can state that the earth is his footstool and the heaven is his throne, meaning that that's where he exercises leadership and judgment, we cannot confine God in the heavens, we cannot confine God on earth. That's how big, that's how tremendous God is. I just wanted to remind us that we're not going to heaven because it's it's a house. We're going to heaven because God wants to have a relationship with us, God wants to bring his family together, his earthly family and his human family. So let's focus on what Sam says about the heavens. Because there's it's a big topic all over the scripture in terms of okay, this is what Jesus said about the heavens, this is what the apostles says about heaven, this is what Daniel, Ezekiel, everybody has something to say about heavens. It's it's so big, there's so many references about heaven. But my focus today is just on in the book of Psalms. God is in heaven. That's that's a special place where God abides, that's a special place where God resides. If we want to know where God is, God is in heaven. You cannot tell me that God is in a particular location, you know, God is in heaven in a sense that that is where he lives. But it does not mean that God cannot be anywhere at the same time because he's the omnipresent present. Jesus said, Where two or three are gathered, he is present. So, but heaven is God's special place. There's so many scriptures about that. Psalm 115, verse 3 says, But our God is in heaven, he does whatever he pleases. Psalm 5073, verse 25 says, Whom have I in heaven but you, and there's none upon earth that I desire beside you. So the Bible clearly states if we want to find the location of where God is, God is in heaven. Somebody cannot tell that God is in hell. That's wrong. So we need to know where God is. Somebody cannot tell you that God is in the tree. That's why the Bible clearly specifies where God is. God is in heaven because God is higher than the earth. You cannot tell me that God is in India and God is a rock. You cannot tell me that God is in China, God is a tree. You cannot tell me that God is in Africa, God is something else, or any element, or God is sea, God is water, God is leaf. No, God is not the human creation. That's what we call idols. So God is in heaven, that's where God is, that's where he rules, that's where he reigns. That's the third heaven. That place is holy. That place is holy. There's no sin in heaven. It says in chapter, uh Psalm chapter 20, verse 6. Now I know that the Lord saves his anointed, he will answer him from his holy heaven. That particular place is holy, is set apart. That is why the qualification to get to heaven, you have to be righteous because the Bible said, Be holy, for I am holy. I started off by saying that God is looking for relationship, God is the king of heaven. And if you have to live in the king's domain, you have to reflect the characteristics of the king. Because the king is holy, God is expecting you and I come into heaven, we should be holy. That is why there's a word called sanctification. That's why we have the Holy Spirit constantly sanctifying our lives. When Jesus Christ appears, you know, we should appear like him. Because Jesus knows that for us to live in heaven, we have to be like God because God is holy, heaven is a holy place with holy people, with holy angels. When when Satan misbehaved, God kicked him out. When pride was found in Satan, God did not accept that in his in his presence at all, and the presence of God is full of holiness and righteousness. So that is why the qualification to get to heaven is through Jesus, because that is why when you when you read the book of Revelation, the Bible says that God is the one on the throne, and beside the right hand of God, guess who is sitting beside the right hand of God? Jesus. But the way Jesus has been depicted, sitting beside God, is being depicted as the Lamb of God, as the Lamb of God. And I ask myself, God, why am I seeing my Lord as the Lamb? Why can I see Him as a lion sitting beside you? Then I realized that to remind you and I are in heaven that wow, Brahim, you're in heaven because of this lamb. Musumba, you're in heaven because of this lamb. Halis, you're in heaven because of this lamb. Angel, you're in heaven because of this lamb. Carol, you're in heaven because of this lamb. Charity, you're in heaven because of this lamb. Holy, you're in heaven because of this lamb. Ruth, you're in heaven because of this lamb. Saran, you're in heaven because of this lamb. Shabba, you're in heaven because of this lamb. Stella, you're in heaven because of this lamb. Who is worthy to open the seal? John cried. And the angel said, The rock of David, the line of the trap of Judah, who redeem us. You know, we are we're in heaven because of the precious blood of the lamb. So that is why Jesus is depicted as the Lamb of God sitting beside the one on the throne to remind us that we are in heaven because of the Lamb, not because of anything that we have done. No qualification on our end. Because of the grace and the achievement on the cross of Jesus. So that's why heaven is a holy place. And because Jesus is holy, that's where you and I we have access to heaven. The heaven is the height of God's sanctuary. And God was trying to make his sanctuary on earth temporarily. Church, this the church that we have here, that's why the Bible said we are the church. Really, we we are the church. So the church is not really uh a building, we are the church. We can still pray among each other. Do you have to go to church and the physical structure to feel like you can call on God? That is why Jesus said, Where two or three are gathered, where two or three human beings are gathered, where two or three believers are gathered in my name, I will be there. Well, God instructed Moses to set up a tabernacle, a physical location, so that he can come and meet with his people. But eventually at the end, we are all gonna meet in that one special, significant place where God is in heaven. So the heaven is God's highest sanctuary, and the heaven is where God's throne is, meaning that that's where God's rulership and judgment derive from. What it says in Psalm 8189, verse 29, his seed also I will make to endure forever, and his throne as the days of heaven. That is speaking of Jesus when he's going to exercise judgment on the wicked. It says in Psalm 11, verse 4, the Lord is in his holy temple. That is also referring to heaven. Heaven is also a temple, heaven is a place of worship. Because what we're gonna be doing in heaven is just worshiping, so it's a special place, it's a holy place, it's a place where you are we're gonna worship God. The Lord's throne is in heaven, his eyes behold, his eyes lead, test the sons of men. And then God has established, prepare, set up his throne in heaven. God is above the heaven, God is eternal, God is external, but God establishes throne, his rulership, his leadership, his judgment in heaven. That is why when we die, there are two types of judgment: judgment for unbelievers based because they didn't believe in Jesus, and judgment for us as believers who will still make it to heaven, but Jesus is gonna judge our works, our works are gonna be judged. So all the judgments that are gonna happen, they're gonna take place in heaven because that is where God has established his throne to judge mankind in heaven, in heaven, not on earth. So that is why you cannot judge people, you have no right to judge any human being because you're not God. Leave it to God for God to pass judgment because vengeance is mine, because God has established his throne in heaven to judge and to lead. The Bible says, God does whatever it pleases, and he does whatever it pleases in heaven, he makes all his decrees in heaven. You know, when Jesus said when we are praying the Lost Prayer, he gave us a template about the Lost Prayer that you know we should pray that Father, God in heaven, our Father who hath in heaven, meaning that he's telling us where our father is to remind us that our father is not in the rock, our father is not in the mountain, our father is not a it's not a it's not a plant, it's not a tree. Our father is in heaven. You cannot put a human description on God, you cannot put a physical description of God. The only thing that we can say, God is in heaven, signifying that heaven is higher than the earth. That is where God is, and the word actually in Hebrew for heaven, it means to be elevated, to be lofty. So God is elevated, just as the heaven is elevated above the earth. Our God is elevated, He's elevated even beyond the heavens, his glory is above the heavens. Wow, wow! So he does whatever it pleases. That's why Jesus said, Let us pray that let the will of God that is in heaven come on earth, because God establishes, um, directs, God controls, God governs, God rules, God decrees, God wills everything from heaven. So if you want God's will to be done on earth, if you want to know the will of God for your life, God, what is your will for me in heaven? What have you decree in heaven concerning my life? What have you decree in heaven concerning uh our church? What have you decreed? Because in heaven, that's where God makes all this decree. That's where God decides where what you're gonna be, what you're gonna do in life. He decides everything in heaven. God does a lot of work in heaven concerning the human race, the heaven is God's office, the heaven is God's business office, the heaven is God's work, it declares, it decrees, it does whatever he pleases in heaven. Now, one thing that I've realized when we look at the book of Psalms, from heaven, God looks down on the Son of Man. Do you know that God, because God is in heaven, he looks down on us? God is a watcher, God is an investigator, God is an inspector, he's in heaven, God sees all the sons of man. So you are saying that you know what? God cannot see me because God is not here physically, so I can just do whatever I want to do. I can live my life secretly. My Musumba cannot see me, other ministers cannot see me, I can just fornicate, I can lie, it's a lie, my sister. It's a lie, my brother. God sees the sons of men, the sons of women, He sees everybody. That's He's the omnipresence. You cannot say, God, God cannot see because God is not your physical. It's a lie. The Bible says in Psalm 33, verse 13 the Lord looks from heaven, he sees all the sons of men, he sees what we do in darkness, he sees what we do in the light, he is watching. So that's why we should have that fear of God. That God is seeing what's in my heart, he actually sees what's in your heart too. He's not limited to He is able to search your heart to see the intentions of your heart, to see why you're doing ministry, to see what you're doing, not just your actions, because our actions can portray righteousness. But God looks at the intent, it looks at the intent intentions, it looks at the motivations. So, child of God, I'm here to modify you. I am here to encourage you that God sees that should put fear in us. That wow, Brian, Musumba, angel, I should be very careful what I do because God sees in heaven. God's eyes and eyelids are to test the sons of men. So God in heaven is like, okay, let me test this woman, let me test this man. All of that is being done in heaven. Remember when Satan appears before God, the Bible says the sons of God appear before God to give an account to God, and God was so proud of Job. God is also proud of you. Ah, God likes to be boastful. God likes to be boastful, he is so boastful about you and I is boastful about righteousness, but he's not boastful about wickedness. So if you want God to boast about you, do right. He said, Have you seen my servant Job? And then the devil came. He said, Ah, God, lie, lie. You think though Job is serving you for nothing? This man is serving you because of your edge of protection. This man is serving you because of your provisions. But God idea you to take that edge over him, and this man will curse you in his face. Do you know that Satan was negotiating with God in heaven? The heaven is where spiritual activities take place. The second heaven, even the third heaven, that's where the decrees of God. That is why when you're praying, say, take your matters to God. In the heaven, that's where the court of God is. The heaven is not just the central, it is a place of worship, it's also a court, it's also a court where God passes decrees and judgments, where destinies have been shaped. That's why Jesus said, Let our prayers be, Father, whatever it is that you have in heaven, let it come to pass. We don't want anything in hell because whatever Satan has declared decreed in hell, that's what he wants attempts to happen in our lives. But God is saying, Let my perfect will, whatever it is that I want to be established in heaven, let it be done on this earth. Nothing can be done on this earth without God's approval, without God's mandate. Even Satan presented something. God, you know what? Let me take a look at this. I'm gonna go with your idea, I'm gonna test Job. So the testing, the trials that you know how we go through, it has been decreed in heaven. Wow, it has been decreed in heaven. It's hard, but that's just a fact. The Bible says God looks down from heaven upon the children of men to see if there are any who understands, who seek who seek God. God is saying, You I am looking at my children, those in India, those in Kampala, those in Freeton, to see if any understand or seek God. God is not cheap, just as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are the ways of God. God is saying, I'm looking down on the sons of men, I'm looking down on the daughters of men to see if there's any who understand me, if there's any who is sick in me. You can find that in Psalm 14, verse 2. You can find that in Psalm 53, verse 2. And it also says that righteousness looks down from heaven. Righteousness looks down from heaven. Look what it says in Psalm 85, verse 11. Truth shall spring out from the earth, and righteousness should look down from heaven. Even for you and I to have righteousness, righteousness has to come from heaven. Our righteousness, the Bible states, they're like filthy rack. David said we are born in iniquity. For you and I to live right, we need righteousness from heaven. We need the righteousness of Christ. We need the oh God, the righteousness of the Lamb imputed in us so that we can be worthy. We can be worthy to be in that holy presence of God, our Maker. God views the earth from the heaven, not just the sons of man and the daughters of men. God actually views the entire earth, the elements of the earth, the seas, the plants, the vegetations, the animals. God views them from heaven to ensure that everything is working right. Like I said, heaven is God's office, heaven is God's workspace. It's a place where God lives, it's a place as a home for you and I, it's a place where there's gonna be so many mansions, it's a divine court, it's also a workspace for God. What does what God does from heaven and what is in heaven? That's where I'm gonna start at. God thunders from heaven. Do you know that if you read the book of Revelation, most of the judgments are gonna come from heaven? Most of the judgment are gonna come from heaven. So there's so much that comes from heaven, the heaven influences the earth. That is why we don't take it lightly as believers. That is why we should constantly pray that God let your perfect will that you have in heaven, let it be done here on this earth, because the heavens influence the earth, the first heaven with all these hurricanes, all these earthquakes, the second heaven with all these demonic spiritual powers, and also the third heaven, all these heavens influence the earth, influence us as humans being here on this earth. So, this is not just a thing to learn about a place, no, heaven, the kingdom of God, the kingdom of heaven. Heaven is a significant topic as believers that we need to know. It's a place where we're gonna be forever with God. God thunders from heaven, Psalm 68, verse 33. To him who writes on the heaven of heavens. Wow, to him who writes on the heaven of heavens, to him who rides on the heaven of heavens. Even God is saying that I can ride on the heaven of heavens, I can ride on the third heavens, I can ride on the on the second heavens, I can ride on the first heavens, which were of old. Indeed, he sent out his voice, a mighty voice. When God speaks, he speaks from heaven. Do you know that the the when God spoke about his son publicly, he did that in the baptism of Jesus Christ, and the Bible said the heavens opened and God spoke. Wow, is God still speaking from heavens? I know God can, but have you experienced the voice of God from the heavens? It sounds like a thunder. If you don't have spiritual uh sensibility, you can understand that God is the one speaking because it sounds like thunder and lightning. That's how powerful the voice of God is. The Bible said he spoke it and it came into existence. God answers his anointed from his holy heaven. Do you know that our prayers are answered from heaven? That is why when this is one thing I've learned that whenever we are praying, we should invoke heaven. Let your will be done as it is in heaven. We should invoke heaven. Sometimes you are praying because your will is on this earth. Sometimes David Paul said that keep set your mind on things above. What is saying that set your mind on things in heaven? Our prayer should be, God, what is your will in heaven? Ah, God, because that is where God makes his plans. So God is saying that I have made my plans in heaven, and I want Carol, I want charity to bring these plans that I've made for her in heaven to bring them down on this earth. But here we are, here is Brahim praying for his own will on earth to be done. God is saying, No, no, no, no, my son. I want my will that I've established in heaven to be done on this earth because I control you, I control the earth. The Bible says God sends from heaven to save because that's where the angels come from. That's where the angels come from. It says in Psalm 57, verse 3 He shall send from heaven and save me. He reproaches the one who will swallow me up. We need angelic beings, God's faithful servants to protect us, to defend us, to deliver us. If you look at the children of Israel, the Bible says that the angel of the Lord was constantly protecting them, constantly protecting them. So we evoke angels from heaven to come to save us. So God sends from heaven his angels to save us. Number number, I don't even know what number that is. So God caused judgment to be heard from heaven. Even in the heavens, God decreed his judgment according to Psalm chapter 76, verse 8. You cause judgment to be heard from heaven, the heart feared and was still. Like I said, all the judgment that are gonna happen in the enterprise, all of them are initiated from the heavens. If you read the book of Revelation, all of them are initiated from the heavens. You have the angels of the Lord blowing trumpets, trumpet that will strike the earth, trumpet that will strike the sea, trumpet that will strike the vegetation, strumpet that oh my god, all of them are from heaven. And then God opens the doors of heaven and rain down manner. Do you know that heaven is where our blessing is? That is why, child of God, I keep saying, please, whenever we are praying, I just learned this myself too. Make sure you invoke the will of God to be done. That is why Jesus said, Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be your name. Let your kingdom come, let your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Because in heaven, that is where the purpose, the plans, the provisions, the power of God come from. So all your blessings are in heaven. One day we're gonna stand before God. God is saying that, oh my son, my daughter, this is that I had all these amazing plans for you in heaven, but you never pray for them to come to pass. So we need to pray that God opened the doors of heaven to reign manner. He did that for the children of Israel, and he can do that for you and I. I want this message about heaven not just to be something abstract, but I want it to be relatable, practical. Heaven is again, it's not just about heaven as a place, but there's so much, there's a substance about heaven, there's a lot that comes from heaven, so much activities in heaven concerning your life, concerning the will of God for you. That God is saying, Let my will that I have in heaven be done for you, be done for our church and upper room. God's word is settled in heaven. Oh my god, oh my god. Psalm 119, verse 89. Forever, oh Lord, your word is set in heaven. Like I said, in heaven, that is God's worksplace, that is where God does his work. You know how we have our office here on this earth? God has an office, that's where his he decrees, he speaks. So the word of God is settled in heaven. That is why Jesus said that no one comes to the Father except through. He said that you don't even know God. He said, I know God because I am in the bosom of the Father. Only Jesus Christ has the full comprehension of who God is. Only Jesus Christ can tell us clearly, concisely, precisely who God is because Jesus came from heaven, and God is where? God is in heaven, and Jesus is the word of word of God. The Bible said, In the beginning was the word, and the word was with God, and the word was God. So the word of God is settled in heaven. The Holy Spirit, the author of the Bible came from heaven. So you cannot tell me that the scripture is man-made, you cannot tell me that the scripture is man-made. Whatever is in the scripture, child of God, the Bible is closed. Don't hide, don't subtract, don't multiply, don't divide. Because the word of God has been settled. What God has said is final, it is complete, it is absolute. You cannot contend against it. It has already been established in the heaven. God spoke to Moses from heaven. Jesus, the word of God came from heaven, the author of all the scriptures came from heaven. So the word of God is settled forever for in heaven, and the word of God remains forever. The word of God remains forever. Now, even the heavens should praise God, not just the earth. The angels are in heaven, they should praise God. Look what it says in Psalm 69, verse 34 Let heaven and earth praise him, the seas and everything that moves in them. So when we get to heaven, child of God, we are gonna be worshiping God, we are gonna be praising God. So we should not worship heaven and don't worship God because God is above the heavens. God is eternal, God is external. I know we're so obsessed with heaven, heaven, heaven. Yes, I want to go to heaven, not just because I want to escape hell, because I want to hug, I want to hold, I want to embrace, I want to sense the hug. I want, I want to hear God saying, I love you. Jesus said he's at the bosom of his father. That is why Jesus feels love because he's at the bosom, warmth embrace. I need that warm embrace, child of God. You also need that one embrace. When you have that warmth embrace from God, your life will never be the same. Knowing fully that God loves you unconditionally, that you don't need the validation of nobody else, that you are loved by God, you are accepted by God, heaven has approved you. So, in conclusion, God is the God of heaven, just as is the God of the earth. God is the God of heaven, just as he's the God of the earth. He's in charge of the heavens, he's in charge of the earth. And the kingdom of God encompasses God reigning in heaven, God also reigning on this earth. God is in charge of everything. God is in charge. God also has access to hell. God has access to hell. Look what it says in Psalm 139, verse 8. If I ascend into heaven, that is why you cannot escape from God. David tried to escape from God. That is why God sees. I know God is not here physically, so we sometimes we we're so delusional thinking, you know what? I can do whatever the heck I want to do. Uh, my pastor is not going to see, my brother in the Lord is not going to see, my sister in the Lord is not going to see, my mom is not going to see, my wife is not going to see. Child of God is a lie, it's a big deceptional. They might not see you, but God sees. Believe in me, the sin that you committed, your wife will not see it, your husband will not see it, your pastor will not see it. But God, because he sees, he will convict you as to say, ah, what you did in secret, my son, repent. That is wrong. That is God showing that I see what you're doing. That should put fear in us that wow, God has eyes, he can see. David was trying to escape. He said, Even God, if I try to escape to ascend to the heaven, you are there. Even if I tried to escape, you are there. Okay, okay, God, maybe I I would I wouldn't try to go to heaven. Let me try to go to hell. David was just giving himself options. He said, Okay, if I make dead hell, because he's trying to escape from God. He tried heaven, he said, No but God, heaven is your place. Maybe let me go to hell. I don't think God you can come to hell. I don't think God you have access to hell. I don't think God can see hell. I lie. I lie. You see, that is why at times, child of God, when you dream, when God reveals the activities of hell, because hell also plans for you, too. When God reveals when you're having when you are dreaming, you see yourself back home, you see yourself in all times. You know what God is showing you? God is saying that I am seeing what has been designed for you in hell, that these witches' agents of the devil are planning. I am seeing that. That is why I'm revealing these things to you. We should be so happy that God is able to see what goes on in hell. If God is not able to see what goes on in hell, we're in trouble. We're in trouble, we're in trouble, we're in trouble. David said, If I make my bed in hell, behold, you are there. What? What God is in heaven, God is also in hell, not like physically or or you know, but God has access to hell. So there's nothing that can be done in heaven. That's why I say God is the creator of everything, He's in charge of everything. So, whatever these powers are planning in hell, God will expose them. Whatever God is planning in heaven, God will reveal them.
