Believers priority in life. What is our priority in life? What is it that you and I when we wake up every day, every morning, we strive to pursue in this life? We are not like the own believers. We are believers. And Jesus has given us a priority. Child of God, I want you to pay attention to this because this message will help you to determine what should be your focus in this life. What you and I we should invest our time, our attention, our resources in. And we're gonna take this from the scripture in Matthew chapter 6, verse 33. If one of the choir members can read for me, Matthew chapter 6, verse 33. This verse emphasize, highlights our priority in this life. Jesus is gonna give us our priority in this life, in the context of God acknowledging our human needs and responsibilities. A man's life is based on the word of God. A man's life or woman's life is based on God. Can somebody kindly read for me? Matthew chapter six verse thirty-three. It says, No one can serve two masters, for either he will aid the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and my man. This verse baffles my mind because God did not compare himself with the devil, God did not compare himself with Satan, he compared himself with money. God, our creator, the Alpha and the Omega compared himself with money. And if you read the book of Ecclesiastes, Solomon says that money answers everything under the sun. Under the sun, meaning that money is the answer of everything under this earth, under our human world. That is why it's it's currency. Money can resolve most of the things that you and I were going through. Some of us, most of our problems have to do with money. Most of your problems in this life, under the sun, when you have money, that problem will be resolved. True or false. Be honest with me, let's talk. True or false. Let's not play church, let's be realistic. The Bible states that under the sun, in this life, money answers everything under the sun. Can you imagine that's that that the wise man is giving money such authority, such power to provide answers to you and I, our problems under the sun, meaning that you're on this earth, not in heaven, not on spiritual matters. Money cannot resolve spiritual matters. That's what the teacher said. Money is the answer of everything under the sun, this earth, but not spiritual matter, not who you are in the inside, the composition of the human being. We are spirit with a soul in our body. So money can take care of this body, but money cannot take care of your soul. Money cannot take care of your spirit. That is why you need who? Jesus. What is forever? When are we gonna die? Young people, one day you're gonna get old. One day, all your investments, all your labor will go in vain. But when you invest in God, your investment will last, your investment will remain. Amen. So God compared Himself with money. He said, You cannot serve too much. He said, God is not saying that money is wrong. No, money is not wrong, but money has its place in life. And don't you ever, ever compare God and money. Don't even even compare God with any other human being. Because Jesus sums up the two greatest commandments. He said, Love God with all. That all did not apply to your husband. That all did not apply to your children. He said, Love God with all. Your all means that love God with your essence. Sometimes you have to choose your God before your husband. You have to choose God before your wife. You have to choose God before your children. It's hard. But that is the fact. Because God is the most significant person in this life. If you don't leave church, don't leave God. If you don't leave your mom, don't leave God. If you don't leave your friends, don't you ever, ever try in your life, leave your maker, leave your creator. Hear it is, young people. The Bible says, in the days of your youth, remember God. Because life is full of challenges. God will not compare himself with the devil, he compares himself with money because you and I, seven days, five days a week, we work, nine to five. Predal life, no time for family. The only time that we come to church is on Sunday, one day, but we give money five days a week. Some of us have two jobs. Two jobs. Are you gonna live the rest of your life chasing after money? Two crazy jobs back to back, money shift, night shift, one factory to another factory. And these boxes that we work for, when you're sick, they don't give a crap. When you're sick, you don't care. I promise myself, I'm not killing myself for no money, I'm not killing my mental health for no boss. I'll go to work, do the best I can, and then bounce. Because your health is important, you are replaceable in the marketplace of life. Take care of your life, your close relationships, and God. Now, before we prioritize our life, we are made of three. We are spirit first, in order, we are soul, and we have a body. Our spirit is our God's consciousness, it is what helps you and I to connect with God, amen. And then our soul is our self-consciousness, it is what helps you and I to connect with yourself. So who you are, Nathan, who you are, Rachel, who you are, Winnie, it's in the inside. Who you truly are, it's in the inside. But in the inside, we have what depression. In the inside, you have what anxiety, in the inside, you have what malice, in the inside, you have what grudge, in the inside you have what hatred, but you look so beautiful in the outside, but the inside man, something is wrong. You dress well, you smile well, you dance, but you're sad in the inside. But God is saying that the real you is in the inside because your spirit and your soul they are in your inner man, and we neglect to take care of our inner man, and the only one that can help you take care of your inner man is God, because you are made in his image and likeness. God is spirit, so you are spirit. I just want to lay an emphasis that yes, it's good to beautify your body, but your mental health, your emotional health, you're key. Your body, it's your worldly consciousness, it's your awareness about your surroundings. Let's say when I knock the wall, I can I can sense it in my soul, in my mind, because this body is conscious, it's aware to the wall. That's why God gave us this body. That's why you can feel cold. But when you die, your spirit cannot feel cold. Yes, when you go out. When you die, your spirit cannot feel any warmth, any heart, any coldness. Because your spirit can be anywhere. Weather can affect your spirit, but your body cannot be everywhere. So remember, God is saying that. I know you need a place for your body to stay, that is shelter. I know you need food for your body, that is food. I know you need clothes for your body, that is the fashion that you're now aware. So God acknowledges that. Yeah, it's good to take care of the body, but don't neglect your spirit, don't neglect your soul. That is where your emotions, your mindset about who you are, your self-esteem, low or high, stems from your mind, your inner man. How you view yourself stems from your inner man. That is why the Bible is full of affirmation. I am a royal priesthood, I am the chosen generation, I am the first, not the last. God is not just picking motivational dragons, God is healing you from the inside. Now, Matthew chapter 6, verse 33. Seeking, seeking here, state your life pursuit. Seeking, state your life pursuit. First, state your life priority. Seeking, state your life pursuit. Jesus is saying that I want you to pursue something. I because when you're seeking something, you are pursuing. When you're seeking something, you're searching. When you're seeking something, you're chasing after. When you're seeking something, you're trying to discover.

Wow.

SPEAKER_00:

At times we're seeking a good job. At times we're seeking a good husband, we are seeking a good wife, we're seeking a good something good. Our life pursuit, and then first prioritization. It didn't say seek second, it didn't say seek third, it didn't say seek last. He said let your life pursuit, let it be first prioritizing. What? Let's dig into this, okay? Number one. Seek first the kingdom of God. Before we talk about the kingdom of God, you need to know the king. We want to go to heaven, not because of the king, we want to go to heaven because we want to escape hell. Most of us we want to go to heaven because we don't want to end up in hell. We're not going to heaven because you want to see the king. You go to heaven because it's a beautiful place. It's like for the man, you want this young lady because of her body. You want her because of sex. You don't really want her because of who she is as a person. When you get the sex from her, you abandon her. You pretend as if you don't know her from Adam. And then for women, you don't like this man because of who he is. You like it because of because of his dollar, money. And then when you get that money, you disappear. We come to God not because of who God is at times. That's the reality. We come to God not because of who God is as a person. Would you still come to God if God did not answer your prayer? Would you still come to God if God did not butter your bread and sugar your tea? Would you still come to God? You see, God is seeking relationship. Even how we have not done the unconditional relationship. Our relationships in life, they are conditional. I have been in a relationship that is conditional. If you do this, I love you. If you don't do this, no love. You do this, I love you. If you don't do this, no love. Ah. We want to go to heaven. We want to be in the kingdom, but we don't know the king. So that is why I want to start off by saying that your first pursuit and parody should be have a relationship with the king. Have a relationship with the king. Have a relationship with God. God wants a relationship with you. God is personal. God is relational. God is not a stone that you talk to that cannot talk back to you. God is not a tree that you can talk to that, ah no, no, no. That is why God is inside of you by the indwelling of the Holy Spirit that you have access to. Do you believe that God is inside of you? That you can actually talk to God? Or the only way you feel like you can talk to God is when you talk to your pastor. But do you believe that you can actually talk to God in his word? In his word, you can talk to him, you can talk to him in your inner man. God wants a relationship. Look what it says regarding relationship with God. It says in Matthew chapter 2, verse 34. Jesus said, You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. Jesus is saying that since your composition as a human being is spirit, soul, and body, I want you to use everything that you got. Love God with your spirit, love God with your soul, love God with your body, love God with your emotions, too. Love God with your desires, love God with your ambitions. He said, love God with all. All don't take it back. Give God everything. Your decisions. When God is saying, I don't want my daughter, I don't like this guy for you. You don't live, I don't listen to God, I don't listen to the looks, I ain't gonna listen to the money. That is not love. You gotta give God all your will. It's hard. You want to do A, God is saying, I want you to do B. It's hard. We want our own ways, we want our own will. Look what it says in 1 Corinthians chapter 13, verse 13. And now above faith, hope, and love. These three, but the greatest of this is love. So God is essentially saying that build a relationship with me on the foundation of love. If you want to have a successful relationship, you that are not married yet. If you want to get married, make sure you marry somebody that loves you. Don't do okay. The man is gonna love you when you look nice. But if you don't look nice, do they accept you for who you are? We don't look nice, we don't all sinners. The Bible says, While we're yet sinners, Christ died for us. Jesus loves me. God loves you when he sees your humbliness. Jesus, God loves you when he sees your badness, not just your strength, when he sees your weakness, you're struggling with this addiction, you're lying, you're stealing. He still loves you. He still loves you. So that's the type of relationship that God wants you to pursue with him. And then the second priority is God's reign. That is now where we have the kingdom of God. God's reign. God's reign is in three categories. Number one, God reign means God is the one who's in charge, he's the leader. He reigns in the heavens where he lives, and the second heavens where all the spiritual activities take place, and then the um third, um, the the first heaven. God also reigns on earth. That is the the masters that have to do with the governance and the vegetation, the animals. But there's one area in our lives that we neglect that God actually reigns. God reigns in you. That is why Paul said that the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, it is peace, righteousness, and joy in the Holy Ghost. So the kingdom of God is not just when you go to heaven. God is saying, I want my kingdom to be here, I want to rule over your heart, I want to rule over your mind, I want to rule over your soul. Allow me to be in charge of you. So God wants you and I to pursue his reign in our personal lives, where we consult God for everything that we do, where we ask God's opinion on matters, and then another one is God's responsibility. That's another thing that you and I wish to prioritize and pursue. God's responsibility. What is that? Our calling, our ministry. Just like the choir, what you guys are doing, you guys are carrying out God's responsibility. You're not just saved just to sit down and do nothing, you are saved to serve. You are saved to serve. That is why you have these gifts. You are saved to serve, to bring other people into the fold. You are saved to serve to edify the church, you are saved to serve to strengthen this church, you are saved to serve, and that is your divine responsibility. Assignment in life. Some of you, God has a specific purpose for you. Talk to God, God. What did you call me to do in this life? What do you want me to do in this church? What is my responsibility? What value can I add to operate room ministry? There are many things that we need help with. We need help with praying, we need help with singing. The church, Jesus said that the harvest is plenty, but the liberals are few. Christians, we're the most selfish people. We're the most selfish. That's just a fact. We're the most selfish people. So, prioritize number one, God's relationship, number two, God's reign. Number three, God's responsibility. That is our calling. Look what it says in Mark chapter 16, verse 15 to 16, just to confirm what I said. And he said to them, Go into the world and preach the gospel to every creature. He who believes and is baptized will be saved. Wow. And he who does not believe will be condemned. So Jesus is commissioning you and I to go into the world. So you're not saved just to sit down on your bum. No, no, you're not saved. You're saved to go on a mission. And you start that mission with your household. You start that mission at work because you're saved to serve. You're saved to redeem people. You have been anointed. Child of God, do you know who you are? I don't think you know who you are at times. With your fine face, you think that's all that's all that matters? Do you know what's inside of you? Do you know the power that is inside of you? Do you know the greatness that is inside of you? Oh, you have to be somebody big before you believe who you are. When greater is he, that is in you than he in this world. Child of God, I'm here to pump you up, to tell you who you are from the inside. Not from your background, they're external, not from your beauty, they're external. But who you are will remain. The fourth one, in terms of what you and I we should prioritize, is God's righteousness. Look what it says in First Corinthians chapter 5, verse 21. For he made him who knew no sin, but sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in him. If we want to go stay with the king of glory, you're not gonna come to the king of glory dressing anyhow. Are you mad? You don't come to work, look like a Rastafari, no offense, Nathan. You know, you don't you know you don't come to you don't you don't you don't you don't you know you don't stand in the presence of Marcani, the prime minister, wearing all baggy. No, you dress well to appear before somebody who is great, but you will dress anyhow to come to church, including myself, too. That day when you're standing before your king, God wants to clothe you with what with righteousness, because heaven is a holy place, that is why you're not going to heaven as a place, you're going to heaven to meet your maker, to meet your king. He said, Be holy, for I am holy. So that is why he says, Seek first my kingdom and my righteousness. Seek my character, seek my nature, seek my lifestyle, as like father, like son. That's what God is saying. I want you to embody me, I want you to represent me, I want you to reflect me. That is the fourth priority, child of God, to seek God's attributes. Now you're asking yourself, man of God, how can I engage in this priority? How can I pursue? How can I prioritize God's relationship? How can I prioritize God's reign? How can I prioritize God's responsibility? How can I prioritize God's righteousness? Number one, engage with the word of God, engage with the word of God. That is where you're gonna figure out who God is, that is where you're gonna figure out who you are, that is where you're gonna figure out God's values. Look what it says in Luke chapter 10, verse 38 to 39. Now, it happened as they went that he entered a certain village, and a certain woman named Matha welcomed him into a house. And so God. And he had a sister called Mary, who also sat at Jesus' feet and heard his word. Okay, there are two types of believers that we can find in Mary and Matha. It's up to you. What do you want to be? You want to be a Matha or do you want to be a Mary? The difference is that Matha was a walker, Mary was engaged in the word. There's nothing wrong about being a walker in the church. But when Jesus is present, when Jesus is speaking, put all that work aside and listen to Jesus because the words that he speaks, they are spirit and their life. His words will set you free. But we take this word for granted. Do you know how you worship God? Not just singing and dancing, it's part of it, it's an expression. But the Bible said, They that worship God, they must worship God in what? In spirit and in truth. Meaning that, oh God, you worship God as God is, because God is spirit. So you are so God. That is why I still hope I say that your composition is that you are spirit with a soul in a body. So for you to connect with God, it takes your spirit. You cannot connect with God with your body, you cannot connect with God with your soul, it takes your spirit to connect with God. That is why God said, if you're gonna worship me, yes, it's good to dance, but you can dance and your spirit is not connected to Jesus. You can shout, hallelujah! At times when I'm praying, I can sense that God, I am just dancing just for the sake of dancing, but my spirit is not connected. I will intercede, mukama. Let my spirit connect with you in this praise. Let my spirit connect with you in this worship. If your spirit is not connected with Jesus while the praise and worship is going on, while the prayer is going on, you will leave this church the same way you came. Because the Bible says they that worship God must worship God in spirit. That's one, and then the other one is truth. What is the truth? Jesus is the fullness of truth. So it really not pretty much to worship God the Father, it is God the Spirit and God the Son. So God is saying, Engage in my word. Because when you read the word of God, Natan, you understand, okay, this is what God likes, this is what God doesn't like. Do you know that God has likes and dislikes? There are certain things that God hates. Number one, God hates sin. It's like your parents have the right to ate certain things. You cannot make your mom or your dad to love what they don't want to love. You cannot make God to love your bad habits. You know, sometimes we as believers were so stupid. I remember when I was a young believer. I'm planning to go and sin, and I'm telling God in advance that God to go sin. That's how stupid I was. I said, God, I'm like, are you going to encourage me in your nonsense? You're planning to go and sin, and then you are you are you are you are bringing me along to go sin. I was stupid, thinking that God will accept my wrongdoing. No, God hates sin. And for you to know who God is, see, God is a person, God has hearts, God has emotions, God can be grief, God can cry, God can get angry, God can get happy. Just like you can get happy, God can get happy. He delights in righteousness, he delights when you're nice to your brothers and sisters in church, he delights when you're good to them, when you're gossiping, God frowns. When you're backbiting, God frowns. When you're this divisive, God frowns. How do we know this God so that we can worship Him in truth? It's in the Word. That's what we are prioritizing. Child of God, Wednesdays. See, the enemy has deceived us, has deceived the church. That the only way we meet God is on Sundays. That is a lie. You don't meet God just on Sundays, you meet God every day because Jesus said, Abide in me and I abide in you. Without me, you can do nothing. Wednesdays, if you can tune in on Zoom, we have made everything possible for our people in this church to know the word. You cannot do ministry, you cannot walk with God without the word. You're deceiving yourself. You cannot. Wednesdays, we have in-depth of Bible study here. We take in, we we study book by book. Now we're in the book of Mark. I have learned so much. If you can make time in person, make time on Zoom, zoom in because God is saying that I want you to engage in my word. Don't forget, we are in the end time. Jesus is coming soon. And Jesus said, in the last days, there will be many false teachers, many false prophets. Deception is deception will be rampant. And if you don't know this truth to set you free, you'll be deceived. Child of God, there are many lies in our world. I am begging you, as young people, you need this as your weapon against the lies of the enemy. We need this as our weapon against our society, against your educational institution in the workplace, spreading propaganda about your gender. Trying to tell it that no, you can be a man if you're a woman. Look what it says matter. Jesus answered and answered to matter. Matter. Matter, matter. Ah, you are worried and trouble about many things. Ah, that is one type of believer. Worried and trouble about this body. I came to visit you to spend time with you, Mata. I didn't ask you that I was hungry. Mata, if I was hungry, I would say, Mata, go to the kitchen and cook for me. But matter, I came here, I opened the Bible trying to teach you and your sister. But instead of you sitting at my feet, I didn't ask you to go make coffee. There's nothing wrong about making coffee. But matter, your priorities are not right. Your priorities are not correct. He said he called her name twice. Matter, matter. When Jesus, when God calls your name twice, it means that God needs your attention. When God calls your name twice, he needs your attention. But look what she what Jesus said. But one thing is needed. See, Jesus is not negating or neglecting our artly response. There's a place, there's a place for everything in this life. But when Jesus is around, give him that priority. He said, Matter, I will tell you this in your face. You're my child, but I will tell you the truth. One thing is needed. And your sister, Mary. Mary, your sister, has chosen the good path. Child of God, when you come to church, don't let nobody distract you. Especially you young people. Sometimes you guys are talking. Focus on the word. Don't be talking among each other. Focus on the word. Don't be like matter, be like Mary. So that when you leave this place, God has spoken to you. He said, Mary has chosen a good path. He said, which will not be taken away from her. He said, he said, Mary has chosen a good path because I came to the house and I wanted to preach to you guys. I wanted to teach you about the kingdom mysteries because I don't have all day. Jesus didn't have time. He said, I'm on a mission. It's a privilege for Jesus to visit you and you miss that opportunity. At times when our Musumba is praying that God is here, the angels are here. Be sensitive in this. Oh God. Oh, child, if that is why you cannot worship God in the body. Be sensitive. And when you're sensitive in the spirit, you know when God is speaking, you know when God is flowing. Coming to church is not just, oh, clap your hands. These are all physical motions. But God wants you to put your heart, your soul, and your spirit to concentrate. God, what are you saying? He said, Mary, what you have chosen is good. You have chosen my word. He said, No one. No, not your sister, not another sister in the church, no your pastor, no your mama, no your auntie. No one will take that away from you. Because you treasure my word, you treasure my presence, and I will ensure that no one takes that opportunity away from you. Child of God. And then 2 Timothy chapter 3, verse 16 to 17 explains us how we can prioritize by engaging with the word of God. It says, All scripture, meaning that the old and the new testament, is given by inspiration of God. This Bible that you and I we have, it is not the origin of man's idea, it is God's. But God used us men, Moses, um, Peter, James, the authors of this Bible, for them to write it. But it's God who initiated this. Okay, so get that in your head that this is not a man's book because the Muslims will tell, oh, the Bible is written by man. I don't believe oh, you both people, white people, I don't believe in it because it's written by man. I said, No, it's not written by man. Have you read the Bible for yourself? You cannot deceive me. It's not written by man, it is written, inspired by God. Use men to write this book in our language that you and I we can understand. Amen. So, this book that you see here. Oh God, people have died for this book. The Catholic faith, only the priest had access to the Bible. No one else, the common man could not read, they could not speak. You see, for a government to deceive a nation, one of the things that they would do to that nation, take education away from them. Take education away from them. But God is not hiding anything. Everything that God wants you to know is in this book. And this book, according to what we have read, the Bible says it is profitable. Profitable. That's a business term. You businessmen and women in this church, you want profit. Why are you in business? You're in business for profit. So God is saying that, ha! He said, God is a good investor. He's in that this book is profitable if you invest in this, and it's going to release all the benefits of this book. Number one, it is good for doctrine, for teaching. How can I raise my child in the ways of God? It's in this book. How can I have a positive mindset? It's in this book. It's good for reproof and correction. How can I correct my children? How can I correct myself? How can I correct my wrongdoing? It's in this book. It is good for instruction and righteousness. How can I live right? It's in this book. That the man and the woman of God, which is you and I, to be complete and equipped in every good work. When we're in our homes, good works, in the business, good works. In church, good works. And finally, engage your mind on the things above. Engage your mind on the things above. For you to engage your mind on things above, you need to know the mind of God. And the mind of God is written in this book. Look what it says in Colossians chapter 3, verse 2. Set your mind on things above, not on the things on earth. That is priority. Jesus is saying that prioritize your way of thinking. The Bible said, do not be conform to this world, do not be conform to the ways of this world, do not be conform to the systems of this world. Do not be conformed. Oh God, do not be conformed to the thinking of this world. He said, Be transformed. And transformation, sometimes, child of God, it takes place, it begins in your mind. God can take you out of Uganda because you wanted to leave Uganda because you are poor. If your mindset has not changed, you will come to this land of milk and honey, pursuing the Canadian dream, and you will still remain poor. And the reason is it's not because of the location, it's because of your mindset. Transformation starts in the mind. How you view yourself for you to change how you view yourself starts in the mind. Tell the mind, no, I am not my past. No, I am not my heart. No, I am not like my mom. No, I'm not like my dad. No, I'm not like my friends. No, I am not. I am the beloved of Jesus Christ. I am a new creation. I am righteous. I'm not gonna allow the trammers to hold me down. This man is powerful, child of God. This man is powerful. Look what it says in in um in um okay, let's see. I like this one. Philippians chapter 4, verse 8. Finally, brethren. Now, Paul is gonna tell us how we should engage this mind on, amen. He says, Whatever things are true, he said it off with the Bible. He said, Start to train your mind, start to cultivate your mind on whatever things are true. Thy word is true. Okay, whatever things that are noble, what is noble? Things of reverence, things of respect. And he said, Whatever things that are just, things that are righteous, things that are proper, things that are fair, whatever things that are pure, things that are of no blemish. He says, Whatever things that are lovely, things that are so beautiful, you like them, they bring joy, they don't harm nobody. He says, Whatever things are of good report, don't hear bad reports on social media. What do you read on social media? What report do you read on social media? He says, Things of good report, if there's any virtue, if there's anything praiseworthy, meditate on these things. He said, Use your mind to meditate on these things. You can change your life, you can change your destiny, you can change your circumstances by changing your mind. You have power over this mind. Tell your mind, mind, I am not gonna think like that. Mind, I don't want to go there. You're not gonna take me there. You know you can talk to yourself. Sometimes I talk to myself. Some people think I'm mad. I'm not mad. I speak in tongues while I'm walking. My people come to the office. Brian, who are you talking to? I said, Don't worry, who I'm talking to. You have to speak to yourself, tell yourself, mind, I refuse to go places that I don't want to go. I refuse to go to places that I don't want to go. Child of God, engage your mind on the things above, and lastly, engage your life in the kingdom mission. And I'm so proud of you guys because most of us in this church, we are involved in God's mission. But God is saying that I want you guys to engage in my word more, I want you guys to for your mind to be transformed while you're engaging in my mission, while you're engaging in my work. And to conclude before we pray, seek first his kingdom and his righteousness. Jesus said, While you put God first as in having a relationship with him, while you put God first as in his reign in your life, while you put God first and prioritize and pursue as in his responsibilities for you, and finally, while you put God first as in pursuit and priority to seek his righteousness, Jesus cares about you because he said in that verse, he said, All these things shall be added on to you. So Jesus is not saying that, oh, your needs for food are not important. Jesus is not saying that you wearing clothes are not important, Jesus is not saying that you driving a nice car is not important. Jesus is not saying that you work, no, no, he said, All these things will be added on to you because you prioritize me, I will help you to achieve these things. Child of God, when you put God first, I'm not just speaking based on knowledge, I'm speaking based on experience now. When you put God first, I'm telling you, many things begin to work for you. You will not struggle, God will make it happen for you. When you put God first, it will make things happen for you.
