ROMANS 8:28 (RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD & RESPONSIBILITY OF GOD)
ROMANS 8:28 (RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD & RESPONSIBILITY OF GOD)
Romans 8:28 is frequently cited during difficult times, but this verse of comfort and assurance extends beyond crisis management. "All things” does not refer to just bad days; it encompasses every situation and season of life—the good and the bad, the positive and the negative, the beautiful and the ugly, the challenging and the easy times. To whom all things can work together for good: to those who love God and to those who are the called according to His purpose, which describes the definition of a Christian.

Child of God, I want to bless you this morning on the topic Romans chapter 8, verse 28. We are all familiar with this powerful, popular Bible verse. But take away from this message at the end. I want you to understand that Romans chapter 8, verse 8. Before we get there, the subtitle of this message is your relationship with God and your responsibility of God. And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God and to those who are called, who are decalled according to his purpose. That is our scriptural reference. That's where we're gonna focus. We're not gonna go anywhere else. Pay attention to this verse, this is where we're gonna digest the content of the word of God. So if you read the context of this verse, it's in Romans chapter 8. Paul here is talking about our human life experiences and God's divine providence and promise, reassuring us that at the end of our afflictions, an ultimate good, there's an ultimate good at the end of it all. If you look at chapter 8, we can we can structure it in this way from verses 1 to 22 focuses on being free from the indwelling sin. The reason why, before I get to this verse, before I explain this verse, I want you guys to understand the context of where Paul is bringing this verse. Because sometimes, as believers, we take a text out of context, but what we learn from that leadership training as leaders, as ministers, is to ensure that when we preach, when we teach the word, we make sure we stay within its context. Amen. So if you read from verses 1 to 11, it focuses on being free from the indwelling sin. If you read from verses 12 to 7, discusses our sonship by the Holy Spirit, meaning that you and I we are children of God by the Holy Spirit. When you read from verses 18 to 30 now, because this verse falls into verses 18 to 30 now, addresses suffering that leads to our glory, our suffering that leads to our glory, and the final verse ends with God's everlasting love, verses 31 to 39. So I just want you guys to understand the context in which we're gonna examine this. The first question I want to ask you What are all things when the Bible states all things? What are all things? Are all things only when things are bad? That's most times we quote this verse. Have we noticed that we quote Romans chapter 8, verse 28, when things are bad in our lives, when things are negative in our lives, but we tend not to quote this verse when things are well, but the Bible says all things, so that all things includes everything, good or bad, beautiful or ugly, positive or negative? There's no exception, there's no exception when it comes to all things. Now you're asking yourself, what if let's say I saw iniquity? Can I reap righteousness? Let's say I saw bad decisions in my life. Can I reap a positive outcome? You and I we saw sin, but the positive outcome of sin is salvation. This is just a reminder that I don't want you to disqualify yourself as a child of God, no matter your past, no matter your decisions in life, God is capable to cause all things. That all things include your failure, my sister, that all things include the setbacks that you're going through, that all things include division in our church, that all things include family authors in your life, that all things include disappointment, discouragement, all things, all things, entirety, completeness. You're asking yourself, but God, I have made terrible decisions in my life. How can I have an end result? How can I have a positive outcome in life? But the Bible says, With God, all things are possible. You see, when you look at it, let's let's let's break it down, and we know. So, who are this we so an unbeliever cannot quote the scripture, an unbeliever cannot quote the scripture, this scripture cannot work for an unbeliever. All things will not work for an unbeliever. If they if they sow iniquity, they will reap iniquity without Jesus. So this verse is not for unbelievers. This verse is for believers that we have an assurance, we have guaranteed that all things all things will turn out, all things. So we need to identify who is this we that Paul is referencing, and if you read the context in chapter 8, those who are in Christ Jesus, Romans chapter 8, verse 1, those who are in Christ Jesus. So the we here is you and I, because we are in Christ Jesus. Who are the we the sons of God in Romans chapter 8, verse 14? The sons of God, Paul is referring to as the we here, the children of God, the we here, the called, the called, that is Romans chapter 8, verse 30. So the we here are the sons and the daughters of God, the children of God, the called, and those who are in Christ. Pretty much Paul is saying, We as believers, it's not just for the Romans church during their time, it's not just for the Romans church during their time, it's for us present-day believers that we know. Now you're asking yourself, what do we know? Paul did not say we feel that all things, because sometimes as believers, we want to feel to believe that all things will work out, but sometimes when you're going through challenges, your feelings cannot address the issue. Paul did not say we taught that, or we feel that no, or we say that that word is key. We know, we know what is it that you know for you to come to this conclusion. What is Paul saying that as believers we know something that all things will work together? What is that we know? The Bible states that faith comes by hearing and hearing the word of God. The only way you can believe this is when you have the knowledge of faith, that awareness of who God is, that awareness, that knowledge, that understanding of what God is capable of. Your level of knowledge about God, your understanding of God will determine how far you can go with God, will determine how capable you will trust God. The little that you know of God will determine the little of your faith, the little that you know of God will determine how far you can believe God for anything. Our Muslim will always talk about she's a woman of faith, but you know why she's a woman of faith? It's because of her knowledge of the scripture and her experience with God. When things are impossible, she applies the scripture, when things don't make sense, she applies the scripture. So it's very hard for you to apply the scripture if you don't know your God. The Bible says, They that know their God shall do great exploits. When I study that word exploit, it means that when you know God, you are able to navigate through the storms of life. Your knowledge of God will determine how effective you are, how how you can manage life. The Bible said, In all you are getting, get wisdom because wisdom is the principal thing, and Jesus is the wisdom of God and the power of God. So the Bible states that my people perish as a result of lack of knowledge. It didn't say they perished because they didn't pray. You can pray, you can shout, you can fast, you can worship. If you don't have knowledge of God, you will perish. I'm telling you this the importance of knowing God by revelation, the importance of knowing God by experience. Because sometimes you can know God in the head, but you don't know God by experience. What makes that difference is that the God that you know in your head, you have experienced Him. You cannot share God with people that God can bless you when you are you yourself, you have not obtained the blessings of God. So we have identified that we know. Paul did not mention here our sights what we see, because sometimes we want to see that all no, no. The Bible said, you see, we as Christians, the Bible states that they just shall live by faith, we shall walk by faith. Our life is all by faith. Do you want to see for you to believe? No, you don't have to see to believe, just you just have to hear to believe. So there's an evidence of our faith, so we don't have a blind faith. The evidence of our faith is this book. The Bible said, This book, they are written for our example, they are written. So if you look at this book, my my wife is barren. Let me look, let me open the old testament and see a barren woman, how God came true for that barren woman. You know what? God, I take uh God, I take that faith of Sarah. God, my wife will not be barren because you have an evidence-based faith. You understand? That is why we have the faith comes by hearing, so your faith is not blind, but that faith comes by what you hear, because what you hear enters into your soul, into your spirit. If you look at it now, what we know as Christians, what is it that Paul is sin that we know? Number one, Romans chapter 8, verse 22. It says, For we know that, for we know that the whole creation groans that is our our our universe, our creation. The word groans means to make a deep, inarticulate sound in response to pain. Creation is groaning, creation is in agony. That's what we know. We live in our world today, we see so many Shosha ills, racism, abortion. These are all things in our world that creation is growing, that we know we this is what we know as believers that we see. Not only creation groans and labors with back pains, a sudden sharp pain. So that's what we know about the state of our world. What else do we know according to Romans chapter 8, verse 28? That all things, that all things. So there's two things in this context that Paul said that we should know. We should know about our creation, and we should know about our creator. Know your creation and know your creator. Because when you know this world that you live in, you know how to navigate. You're able to tell your boss, you know what? I know right now the government, the businesses, everybody sponsors all this pride parade. But for me, I know I'm a son of God, I'm a daughter of God, I'm a child of God. I am not gonna get myself involved. So you know the world system, but you also know the standards of God. So you need to know both worlds. Now, this is what God knows about you. This is what God knows. That is according to Jeremiah chapter 29, verse 11. Look what God knows. So we know God also knows. This is what the Bible says, for I know. Wow, the thoughts. This is now God is saying that I know me, me, God, I know the thoughts that I have for you. He didn't say I know the feelings that I have for you. God doesn't act by feelings, God acts by his character and his thoughts towards you. So the Bible says that, for I know God is confirming, affirming to Jeremiah that I know the thoughts that I have towards you. Not just one thought, he said, How many thoughts? He said, I know the thoughts, do you know the thoughts that I have for you, Musumba? You know the thoughts that I have for you, Nathan. You know the thoughts that I have for you, Loki. Do you know the thoughts that I have for you, Winnie? Do you know the thought I have for you, David? Do you know the thoughts, not just one thoughts that that I think towards you is so it's so personal towards you, not towards us, towards you. The Bible is personalized towards you now. Okay, God, you have thoughts towards me. Tell me, what are your thoughts towards me? Beautiful, it says the Lord. Thoughts of peace. Who doesn't want peace? When Jesus said, In this world we're gonna have tribulation, but sure up, I have overcome the world. Who doesn't want peace? We all want peace. Peace is not the absence of war in the midst of chaos. You can still obtain peace. When things are not this is this is what it means that God causes all things to work together for your good because you have peace, you have assurance in your heart that this situation eventually will turn out to become good, and it says, And not of evil. Wow, you see, our Christian life is a life of suffering. Jesus said, A student is not greater than his master. They persecuted him, they slapped him, they accused him. They're gonna do the same to us. They betrayed him, they denounced him, they reject him. It's gonna happen to us. Don't be surprised when you're rejected, don't be surprised when you're when you're despised. Do not be surprised. Our faith is a faith of suffering. I know we as Christians we don't want to hear suffering, nobody wants to suffer. We come to church, it's all about yes, there's a place for everything in life, but part of it, and do you know the purpose of our suffering? Two things that I've learned when we suffer. Number one, our characters are being built. Number two, our faith is being developed. Because when you are when when everything is okay for you, you tend to be very complacent, you tend to be very convenient because everything is okay. But when God pushes you, when things are challenging, that's the time you call onto God. That's a time you're like, you know what, God, I need to learn something from this. So God is saying that His thought towards you there of peace and not of evil. Look what it says to give you a future and a hope. So all things will work together for your own good and the future. Child of God, I want to encourage you to have hope. You here in Canada, you are God has brought you from Uganda to Canada, and now you're like, God, I don't have my papers. If God brought you from Uganda, you took the plane to get here. What makes you think that God will not settle you in this land? It's all about faith. Faith. You know what I've learned. Sometimes the reason why we don't we don't trust God for the next move is because we don't remember the past move. Ah God, we don't we cannot trust God for this for the next move because we don't remember the past move. God, you know, do you know why David was able to to defeat Goliath? It's because David had experience dealing with bears and lions. Look at this own circumstance for listening. Can you imagine? Uh Saul was like, Man, you're too young. No, no, David said, No, I've I've I've I've seen what God can do for me. As a young man, I fought with bears and lions because God helped me. Child of God, if God has helped you, took you from Uganda, brought you here, brought you to this church, there's nothing God cannot do for you. Whatever you're going through is just temporary. Have a positive mindset that at the end my God will cause all things the good and the bad for your own good. Now, Paul is gonna list all these things that God is gonna cause to work together for our good. If you look at Romans chapter 8, verse 35, Paul says, Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Now, Paul is going to list, Paul is going to list some of the challenges that you and I we face. Okay, that all things include what according to Romans chapter 8, verse 35. He said, Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation that all things can include tribulation, that all things can include distress, that all things can include persecution, that all things can include famine, that all things can include nakedness, peril, or the sword, death, all things. So Paul is listing all things that can happen to you and I persecution, famine, nakedness. But he's saying that okay, all these things are happening to us, and they are all negative. Yes, they're all negative, but he said, But who can separate the love? Wow, who can separate the love that Christ has for us? No matter what. You see, God said that I do not spare my own son. Ha ha when I read that, when I read that, God is saying that I did not spare my own son for your sake. How much more this tiny$20 that you asked me for? How much more this three thousand dollar rent that you asked me for? I did not spare my own son for you, wretched, sinful, lustful man and woman. I did not spare my own son. How much more can I freely give unto you? Jesus, the indescribable gift is a free gift to all. Now, God is saying that I have given you the best gift ever. How much more? Why are you complaining? Why are you grumbling? Why are you being anxious when I can do anything for you freely? All you need to do is just to ask me. And then he also said the opposite side in Romans chapter 8, verse 30, 38, verse 39. He said, Okay, now for I am persuaded. So Paul's trying to encourage the Romans church that you know, I know what you guys are going through, but let me reassure you that all these things, all this negative stuff, all these bad things that you guys are going through. I want to reassure you that our God is able. He said, I am persuaded, I am convinced, I am convicted that neither death, now that's an all thing. The opposite, neither death nor life. When you're having life, praise God. When you're about to die, praise God. He said, Neither death nor life, nor angels or principalities. Oh my god, for some of us who have witches and wizard pursuing us, when I read this verse, I'm like, wow. God, no matter the witches in my family, they have no power over me. Because the Bible says that neither angels or principalities or power, no things present, things that are in this world, and things to come, no height, no depth, no other created thing. No, oh my god, oh my God, no other created thing shall be able to support again. Love, love is the emphasis here. Ah God, you see, God, because God loves you and I so much, that is why God at times cannot allow you to suffer to the point of destruction. Love produces life. Because of love, the thing here, God is saying that because I love you, I won't allow any of these things to be permanent in your life. They are just momentary, temporary affliction. But the glory, oh my God, is great. And God is saying, Because of love, none of these things can separate you. Sickness cannot separate you from God. Sometimes when we go through problems, I remember one day I was going through some difficult challenges, and then I'm like complaining, like God, I don't think you love me. I don't think you love me. God, I don't think you love me. God, you're too mean to me. God, look at the way you treat me. Ha! God said, My son, remember your past. Remember, what do you mean I don't love you? What do you mean I don't love you? Because of problems, because of situations, you conclude that God doesn't love you because you're not able to pay your rent, because your spouse is not here, because your family is back home, they're having difficulties. You say that God doesn't love you, God doesn't love this church because we're small in numbers, because people have left. We tend to conclude on God when things are bad, we tend to see God in a negative light when things are bad. We tend to see God as wicked when things are bad. We tend to judge God when things are bad, we tend to blame God when things are bad, we tend to accuse God when things are bad. The only time we come to God when things are good, but that is not love. We're gonna get them, that is not love. The Bible says they that love God for those who love God. That word love them, it's not just that romantic love, that word is agape. God is saying that if I'm gonna cause all these things to work together for your final hand, you have to love me unconditionally, because I want you to love me when you may need, I want you to love me when you are sad, I want you to love me when you're hungry, I want you to love me when you are sick, it's hard, it's hard to say to tell us when I love you still, I still make a marriage vow, that does pass, would you still love your wife? If you sick, would you still love your husband if it is broke? Would you want to love making some condition? So God is saying for all these things to happen to you, you will go through persecution, are you gonna run away from me? You're gonna go through rejection, are you gonna deny me? Or are you going to have that unconditional love for me? Because he has the unconditional love for you. Bible said, While we're yet sinners, Christ died for us. That's unconditional love that God is saying, Do you love him unconditionally? Or the only time you love God is when your bread has been buttered, your tea has been sugared. The only time you come to church is when everybody is here. But would you come to church even if there's nobody here? So, God, I'm coming to see you. Would you run away? I remember my friend was telling Brian, come to this big church. Come to this big church, that's where your deliverance is. Come to this big church, you know. I said, I have to learn to be faithful. I have to learn to be loyal because in this life, you cannot eat where you have not so. You cannot eat, or you cannot grow. I know we like to go to places that is already established, but the Bible says if you are faithful in the lead when you come to a church that is growing, a church that has been established. You compare our church with other churches, they have so many people. Music is okay, everything is okay. But God, look at our church, what's going on? God is teaching you a lesson. Learn to suffer with those around you in relationship. Learn to suffer with your husband, wife, learn to suffer with your husband, husband, learn to suffer with your wife because that's what life is all about. Jesus Christ suffered with us. But we as human beings, we want to we want the glory, but we don't want the suffering. So Paul is saying that in order for us to have that glory, we need to go through suffering. Because Jesus Christ went to the cross before he obtained the crown. He went to the cross before he obtained the crown. Paul is saying, reminding us that nothing can separate the love that he has for us. All things can work together for you and I, from sin to salvation, from condemnation to righteousness, from death to life, from burnage to adoption, from suffering to glory, from corruption of our creation to liberty of the children of God, from weakness to support. Now look what it says in Ecclesiastes chapter 3, verse 1 to 8. These are all things. Everything there's a season. There's a season in life. It states, it's time for every purpose under the sun, it's time to be born, it's time to die. It's gonna happen. It's time to plant, it's time to pluck what is planted, it's time to kill, it's time to heal, it's time to break down, it's time to build up, it's time to weep, it's time to laugh, it's time to mourn, it's time to dance, it's time to cast away stones, it's time to gather stones, it's time to embrace, it's time to refrain from embracing, it's time to gain, it's time to lose, it's time to keep, it's time to throw away, it's time to tear, it's time to sow, it's time to keep silence, it's time to speak, it's time to love, it's time to hate, it's time of war, it's time of peace. This is all things. This is all things. There's time for everything, child of God. No condition is permanent, your sickness is not permanent, you're not having your paper, it's not permanent. That Jesus said, Why are you taking away the life of today? Worrying about the life of tomorrow. That doesn't make any sense. Live today, trust God for tomorrow. Maintain your sanity, maintain your peace of mind, maintain your peace of mind. Now, the Bible says God will work everything together. What God is gonna do is to take the broken pieces, the things that are shattered, the things that are rejected, the things that are failed, the things that are abandoned, the things that are weak. Oh my god. Paul said that some of us, we're not even the strongest, but we are saved. We are not the wise, but we are saved. Some of us, oh god, we came from a tiny village, but we are saved. We are we see ourselves in Canada. Not because we are special. God always specializes taking the weak, taking the blind, taking the dumb, taking the rejected, taking the abandoned, and making them into somebody. So you qualify. If you feel rejected, you qualify, if you feel abandoned, you qualify. So God takes all of these things, He works them out. How? How can God take your dirty past and make it into something beautiful? How God can oh my god, how God can take your past experiences and turn it into a glorious one. Wow, that is why don't judge a book by its cover, don't determine somebody's future based on their yesterday, based on their today. Don't ever do that. Don't determine the church of operal ministry based on today because you don't know where we're going. Oh God. God can cause all things to work together for our good, for the glory of God, for your good, for your good at the end of the day, it's for your good, for your well-being, for your welfare, for your peace of mind. God will cause all of those things. You are not gonna be the one to make it happen. Oh God, you cannot cause all things to work together. God, you cannot cause upper room to work together, you cannot. Our pastor cannot. You cannot work all things for your home to settle your home, you cannot. You cannot make your children to work together, you cannot. Without God, you labor in vain, without God, you can do nothing, but when you abide in Jesus, he abides in you, you shall be fruitful. So, who does the work in here? It's God, it is God who's gonna work all things together for your own good, for the good of this church. Now, what qualifies God to make this thing happen for you? All things. What is the qualification here? Because sometimes some of the blessings of God come with conditions. This is one of them. Some of the blessings of God, there are no conditions, there are no strings attached. But this one has two conditions. Let's pay attention to them. The Bible said, God, for we know that all things work together for good to them. Okay, who are them? Who are them? They that love God. That is why I said it's not for unbelievers. They that love God, and and the Greek word for love, because in the Greek language, there are four definitions of love. You have the brotherly love, the love that we have for family members, you have the sexual love, the romantic love, and then you have the agape love, and then you have the friendship love. But the love here in Greek is agape, unconditional love. Just as God is love, God has unconditional love for us. God is saying that I want unconditional love from you. Some of us we want our love for God is conditioned. I'm telling you, me too. My love for God is conditioned. When God blesses me, come and come and see me dancing. Ah, when God blesses me, you see me in church on time. I've noticed that. When God blesses me, I'll be the first person to come to church. Come, come and see. Shout hallelujah. I've noticed that. I'll speak the truth and put the devil to shame. My love for God has been conditioned. When God, when I see money in my account, hey, come and see what the Lord has done for me. Well, if there are pennies and loonies in my account, God, you're in trouble. I'm telling you, pennies and loonies in my account, God is in trouble.
unknown:Wow.
SPEAKER_00:Child of God, God is saying, for all these things to work together, when if you have pennies in your account, would you still come to church? When you don't have food to eat, would you still raise your hand up and praise God? God is requesting a gap in love, unconditional love. When God doesn't answer your prayer, it doesn't mean that God has rejected your prayer. God is just saying that let me prepare you first. Let me let me let me let me just train you. No, now would you still be okay with God? Do you know how times we can keep God's malice? God, I've been praying for this for so long. God, I've been asking you for this, my children. God is saying, wait. Satan plants a seed of bitterness and anger. I remember I'm gonna use myself as an example because this message speaks to me. Have you have you been so bitter at God? Do you know that sometimes we treat God as a human being? I treat God like a human being, like my friend, like a father. I remember one week I was bitter at God because something that I treasured so much failed in my life, I was so angry, I was so bitter at God. I didn't want to talk to God, but guess what? I was spiritually bankrupt. Hey, if you see demons at night chasing me, I said no, I there's no way I learned the biggest lesson. Make sure your heart is clean when you're dealing with God. Hey God, make sure your heart is clean towards God. When you're dealing with God, don't have anything against God, don't have anything against God. Make sure your heart is clean towards God. Make sure your view of God is correct. If not, you're in danger. I was in danger. My thoughts, I started to see God as evil, it was also demonic. I was in that point in my life where the only person that can take me out of this hole that I put myself is God. Circumstances can make you change your view of God. Difficulties can make you change your view of God. When you have been planning, you have put all your money into this business. Millions of dollars, you have sown seed in church. The man of God, the woman of God has prayed for you that this business is gonna succeed. Yeah, one, no success. Year two, a big failure. The Bible says, hope defies what makes the heart sick. If you're not careful, you blame God, you hate your pastor, you don't believe in the prayers anymore. Child of God. It's good to have expectations, it's good to have faith in God. Let there be boundaries within your heart. If God doesn't answer right away, keep your core. If that prayer doesn't come true, keep your faith. That is why the Bible says he will cause all things the way you want it to be, but God is saying, I want it this way. Sometimes you'll be surprised how God will do it. You're expecting God to do something for us as operating. But God is saying, I have an idea, I have another idea. Don't tell God what to do. God will tell you what to do, but don't tell God how to do it. Most times we want to tell God how to do it. God, I want you to do it this way. God, I'm trusting you for a wife. I want the wife to have a big bum. I want the wife to have a brick, big breast. I want this man to be rich. But God is saying, if my daughter is flat, would you still want her? What would you do? What would you do when God gives you the opposite of what you're looking for? Because your flesh that's why my prayer has always been, God, let your will be done. Don't put a marker on the will of God, don't put qualifiers on the will of God because you'll be disappointed. You'll be disappointed, child of God. So the Bible is saying that those who love God, look what it says in Romans chapter 8, verse 35. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? 37. Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loves us. It's all about love, it's all about love. You see, when you know that God loves you, you are able to conquer anything that you face in this life. When you are settled in the love of God, when you are secure in the love of God, when you are comfortable in the love of God, when you are confident in the love of God, when you are convicted within your heart that God loves me, that this affliction is just temporary. The reason why you're not able to face that challenge because you don't believe that God loves you. The reason why you're not able to overcome that problem, you don't believe that God loves you. Love is stronger than anything. Love is the greatest. Love is the greatest. So Paul is giving us the solution for all things to work together for us. That is to love God. To love God. Love is the greatest. That is why the title of this message is that your relationship with God. And that relationship is built on love. Because we have a relationship with God, but because of God's love, God is saying, Do likewise. Love is the greatest of all. When they ask Jesus, what is the greatest commandment? He said, Love God with all. Again, that word love all. You see, God, oh my God, God is saying that give me your all and I'll make all things work out for you. Haha Lee Khanoba. Give me your all and I'll make all things work out for you. Love me with all. Oh my god. You see, when you when you when you love God with all, you're saying that God take all everything about me, take my mind, take my heart, take my soul, take my spirit, take my money. When it comes to our money, at times we don't want to give God the all. Me too. We don't want to give God your all. We want to give God penny change, 10%. It's hard. God requires a gap in love. Love is the greatest of all. Love never fails. That is why problems cannot be permanent in your life. Because love never fails. Because God will not sit in heaven and allow you to suffer in that chronic illness. He will not, he will not. Love is stronger. Child of God. That is why, in any relationship, in our family, in our marriage, even in this church, love. Love is important. The reason why you'll be faithful to somebody, the reason why you will stick with somebody, the reason why you will be loyal to somebody, because of love. If there's no love, you'll not be loyal to nobody. If there's no love, you will not be faithful to your wife. Love is the foundation. The reason why we are still in this church is because we love the work of God, we love our pastor, we love each other. Love, love, love for one another. Love for my brother Nathan. Love, love for one another. Love is the foundation. Love is the greatest of all. Love never fails. The Bible commands you and I to walk in love, to live in love. The greatest of all, not even hope, not even faith. It says love. You can have faith, mean faith can move mountain. You can have knowledge, you can speak in tongues. But if you don't have love, you're useless. Ah, child of God, love. Love is key. Love is key. Love for God. Love for one another. The Bible says when you read, I think it's in Corinthians, there are three things that we obtain from the Trinity: love from the Father, grace from the Son, and communion from the Holy Spirit. Love is the one that started everything. Love started our salvation. Love motivated God to send his own son. Love says, I did not even spare my own son because of love. Yeah, God, love is the motivating factor of God. If God didn't love you, then I God will not send Jesus Christ. Love, the love of that is what the Bible says, God is love. You are standing today because of love. You are life because of God, of his love. Love is key. Love is not just feelings, love is a thought, love is a decision that you make constantly, even though you have rebelled against God, you have sinned against God, his mercies are new every morning. God is saying, Yes, you're a dumb child, yes, you're a sinful child. But I know what I still love you. Love never fails. If we have this attitude in this church, no matter if we're small in numbers, no matter how things are difficult, that God, this is my church. I love this church, I love my people, I remain, I will add value. I will do whatever I gotta do. That's love. Even if you don't feel like it, you love. That's love. Love never fails. Prophecies will fail. Oh God. Oh God. Tongues will fail. They will all cease. Knowledge will vanish away. What remains is love. Love for yourself. Love for God. Love for this church. Love for your family. And the last thing that qualifies us that all things will work together. The Bible says, for those who are called according to his purpose. Like I said, an unbeliever cannot apply this verse. You have to be the called. The called are in the spirit. The called are the sons of God. The call are the children of God. The call are the one God predestined. Are you called? Are you called by God? Are you saved? Are you in Christ? Just coming to church. You can come to church for religious reasons. But what makes you a believer, you are in Christ. You have the spirit of Christ in you. That is what makes you a believer. That is what makes you Christ-like. The Bible says you have to be the called, you have to be the called for all things to work together for you. And you being the call, the Bible says that according to his purpose, we are saved to serve, we are saved to serve. Like we're doing, we're in church. We are saved to work for God. So what will make all things to work together for you is because you are fulfilling God's purpose for your life. Child of God, if God sees that, oh, you sacrifice your time for the praise and worship. Even though you have work, you leave work, you finish work at five, you have quiet practice at 7 p.m. Ah, I'm a Musumba. Bible study, 7. And then interception of prayer. Do you think that God will not allow all things? Is it the secret thing? Jesus said, seek me first in my kingdom. And all this thing, he said that all these things shall be added on to you. So when you are fulfilling God's purpose for your life, all these things shall be added onto you. While you're taking care of God's business, God is taking care of your business as well. I'm a living testimony. When you serve God, when you love God, He will protect what concerns you. Hey, when you love God, when you serve God, He will protect, He will preserve what concerns you. You might not see the trouble is coming, but God sees it. You might not see the danger that is coming, but God sees it. God is protecting you behind your back. God is fighting for you behind your back. How many times my manager wants to kick me out? But God was fighting for I didn't fight. God was oh God, is he here God? This Bible makes sense. When you put God first in all your ways, acknowledge me. There is all don't just come to God when you're in church. Call on God at work. Call your God in your family. Call God in every aspect of your life, child of God. I'm pleading to you. Call God. God is saying, according to his purpose, God has a work for you. You are you are saved to serve God. Ask God, God, what have you called me to do for your church? What have you called me to do for my community? What have you called me to do for my family? Serving God is not just in church. You can actually serve your family. Create a prayer altar for your family, have Bible study for your family. That is part of serving God. Joshua said, as for me and my house, we shall serve the Lord. In your workplace, evangelize, tell people about Jesus Christ. In your community, showcase Jesus. At the end, to conclude. Look at Joseph and Jesus. He's a perfect example. For example, Joseph from the pit to the palace, he was sold by his brothers. Circumstances in his life were harsh. You might wonder, but God, this young man had a dream. See himself being a king. Brothers, mom and dad bowing down to him. But the opposite happened. Sometimes when God gives us a vision, but you see the opposite. Have you ever noticed that? God is saying you're gonna be great, but you're suffering. Is it because God is lying? No, oh God, no, Joseph went through the same. Ah, I look like a like a kingly child, but why am I looking like a praising child? But look what it says at the end. At the end when God raised him up. This is the answer. At the end when God established Joseph, it says in Genesis chapter 39, verse 9, chapter 50, verse 19 to 20. Sorry. Joseph said to them, Do not be afraid. For am I in the place of God? You see, it wasn't Joseph that caused all things to work together. It was God. He was accused sexually, he was in prison, he was betrayed by his own brothers. Joseph. But he says, Am I in the place of God? If he was up to me, I would run like a baby. That God, this hard, this thing is too hard for me. It's too hard. It's too harsh. God, I can't take it. But he said, Am I in the place of God? But as for you, you who betrayed me, you who neglected me, you who abandoned me, you who abused me, you who despise me. As for you, you know what? You meant evil against me.
unknown:Wow.
SPEAKER_00:You meant evil against me, you meant to kill me, you meant to hurt me, you meant to punish me. But not so with God. Because he said, For I know the thoughts that I have towards you, thoughts of good, thoughts of peace, not of evil. God had a different agenda. You know, people can have evil agenda for you, but the agenda of God outweighs the evil plans of the enemy. People can have wicked plans against you. Your boss, your co-worker can have wicked plans against you. But because you serve God Almighty, his plan will be established. The Bible says, but God meant it for good.
unknown:Wow!
SPEAKER_00:In order to bring about as it is this day, to save many people a life like you, my brothers, who betrayed me. That is why, as a church, our people are gonna come back. It's the enemy because at the end, they're gonna come back, and God is gonna take us to different heights, God is gonna take us to a new level. What the enemy meant for evil, our God is able to turn around. Now, the other person that went through this is Jesus. Jesus, He loved the Father, that is why He was able to go through this affliction. Remember, because of His purpose, He wanted to abandon hardship. Even Jesus, our Savior, God man, say, Father, let this cup pass me by. When I read that verse, I marvel. I'm like, Jesus, you you of all people, you are crying. You of all people want to escape the will of God. Child of God, when you know the will of God, when you know God, that is fine. Sometimes God does not tell you how it's going to happen, He tells you what He's going to do. But if God tells you how it's going to happen, you say, God, I don't want it. If God tells you, Hey, you're going to take the cross, you say, No, God, me, no cross, Lila, no cross. I want the crown. Give it to me now. Jesus, Son of God, crying, begging, God, let this cup pass me by. That is his humanity. Can you imagine one man taking the sins of the old world? That is madness. Pure madness. Sins of those in the past. Nathan, sins of those in the present, sins of those in the future. Do you know how many people are on the earth right now? Is it nine billion? Carol, nine billion? Nine billion sins on one man. Hey, Jesus. No, can you imagine? He's saying, crying blood, saying, Papa, let this cup just between you and I, Lord. I know you sent me to save humanity, but just between you and I let this cup pass by. It's written in the Bible. Jesus negotiates with God. God, I know you sent me to save mankind, but God is too much. Just between us, have another plan. But God is saying that I don't have no other plan except you. You are the sinless lamb. You are the sinless lamb. You are the perfect lamb. There's nobody else who qualifies. Brahim does not qualify to save himself. Nita does not qualify to save himself. Our Musumba, she's not qualified to save himself. Satan, the angels, see what they have done. They rebel against me. None of them are qualified. Jesus, my one and only begotten Son, only you are qualified. Go on. He said, You know what he said? Father, not my will. But let your will be done. That is what it means that God will cause all things to work together according to his purpose, according to those who love him. If Jesus did not love the Father, the reason why at times we can go through difficult things, because we love God. The reason why we are still coming to this church is because we love God. The reason why we are still here is because we love God. We see what God is doing. We know where God is taking us. If we didn't love God, we won't be here. The reason why you're still praying is because you love God. Even though you have lost your daughter, you have lost your wife, you have lost your son. You're saying, God, I still love you. Finally, how things can work out for our good? Because God the Spirit and God the Son prays for us. Okay? They pray for us. We hope in perseverance. God is for us, and there is no condemnation, charge, or charge against us. The love of God and the love of the Son is for us as well, and we are more than conquerors. So there are many reasons why all things work for us. So let us stand up and pray and dismiss.
