Why Steps Shape Your Life

SPEAKER_00

Examine your steps, ways, and path. Before we proceed, I always like to define certain terms just to stay within the context of what I'm gonna be saying. Steps, ways, and path. What do I mean by step? Your step is pretty much a block of an action. A block of an action. It is your walk in life. The many blocks that you're taking each day. Adds up. It is your commute, your going, your coming, the distance that you take in life, the distance that you walked, the distance that you covered. What do I mean by way? Way also entails your walk and your work in life. It is your method or style or manner of doing something. When we use this phrase once way, we're saying that one characteristics or habitual manner of behavior, one common or customary mode of behavior or practice. It entails your processes, it entails your program, established programs that you put in place. So your way also means your journey in life and your choices that you make, your decisions that eventually will guide the path that you're taking. Your way in terms of your conduct, your deeds, your lifestyle, your behavior that also shapes your path. Then what is path? Path has two references in my study. Number one, path entails direction. Path entails destination. So path is the course of where you're leading to. Eventually leads to your destination, which at times people refer to as destiny, your final conclusion or your final end in life. So I've defined steps, ways, and paths, and they are also in order. And then our ways of living eventually lead us to a path, either positive or negative. So we start off with you taking baby steps in life, and your baby steps in life becomes your way of life, and your way of life leads you to your path of life. There are two points that I would like to make in regards to this. Number one is self-examination of your steps, your ways, and your path, and God's evaluation of your steps, ways, and path. Let's look at several scriptures on the first point regarding self-examination, meaning that you have to have a reflection of your own life. Look what it says in Psalms 119, verse 59. I thought about my ways, I turned my faith to your testimony. So this is a psalmist having a self-examination of his ways. He said, I thought about my ways, I ponder about my ways, I examine my ways, my way of life, my conduct, my method, my processes, how I do things, how I think, the patterns in my life. You have to, you have to pretty much do the thorough self-examination of certain behaviors in your life for you to change. We are so automatic in our way of doing things. That is why we end up achieving the same results. There's a quotation that says that if you continue to do the same thing, you continue to have the same results. And that's pretty much what foolishness is. So if you want to change your results, if you want to change your path in life, you have to first of all change your steps. When you change your steps, then you change your ways. Most times we desire a wonderful path in life, but we're not making that self-conscious examination, that self-conscious intentionality and effort to say no what I'm gonna think about moving forward, my way of living. And then in Psalm, in this same Psalm 119, from verse 15 to 16, it says, I will meditate on your preset and contemplate your ways. So this is the psalmist again saying that I'm not just gonna live my life anyhow, I'm not just gonna walk in this life anyhow, I'm not just gonna have all this pattern in my life. What I'm gonna do, I'm gonna have a growth mindset, not a fixed mindset. I'm gonna grow by examining myself, contemplating on my actions, contemplating on my approaches, contemplating on my decisions. Okay, and then Job 34, verse 27, it says, Because they turn back from him, I will not consider any of his and would not consider any of his ways. If you don't consider God's way, pretty much you are you are stuck with your own way of life. People who don't don't do self-examination ignore advices from other people, they think that their own way is the right way, and they're so stuck up in their own way of thinking, in their own attitude, and they don't want to take any correction, they don't want to learn anything, they don't want to change, they don't want to grow. Such people end up becoming destructive in life. Psalm 119, verse 26. I have declared my ways, and you answered me. So what I like about the psalm is David, that David is a man that is very expressive. He tells God about his life the good, the bad, the beautiful, and the ugly. So in this psalm, he's saying that God, I'm gonna declare, to declare means to state, to declare means to proclaim, to declare means to reveal. To say no, God, I'm gonna reveal my ways to you, the good, the bad, the beautiful, and the ugly. I'm gonna reveal my patterns in life, I'm gonna reveal my actions, my attitude, my way of doing things, my decisions. I'm not gonna hide nothing from you. I'm going to declare all of my ways, the ones that people cannot see, the ones that people can see, the ones that are inside of me, the ones that are internal, external, I'm gonna let it all out so that you answer me and teach me to change my ways. Now, in Proverbs chapter 16, verse 9, it says, A man's heart plans his way. So, self-examination, but because you are also a human being with your own willpower, with your own way of thinking, God cannot infringe on your right of willpower. So God allows you to do things right. Obviously, if you're smart enough in all your ways, you will acknowledge him because you know that the heart of man is very deceptive and wicked. Who can know it? You know, if you're wise enough, you ask God's input. If you're wise enough, you will consult God. If you're wise enough, you will inquire from God that God, here I am. I'm trying to plan my life in 2026. I'm trying to plan my family, I'm trying to plan my career path, I'm trying to plan my business, I'm trying to plan my ministry, but God, I don't want to really lean on my own understanding, I don't want to be wise in my own eyes. So the Bible is saying in Proverbs chapter 16 that we as human beings, our heart plans our own way. How can you depend on your own heart that the Bible said that the heart of man is desperately wicked? Who can know it? How can you lean and depend on your own heart to plan your own way of life without God, without God's input, without God's involvement, without being led by the Spirit, without the scripture guiding you? But guess what happened? When a man's heart plans his way, well, if you acknowledge God in the process, the planning is up to you. The goals, you setting the goals is up to you. But if you acknowledge God in the process, what God will do, but the Lord direct his steps. The plan is the overall picture of your life, the plan is the ended end result that you're trying to attain to. So while you have that plan, let's say for example, our church, we plan to have thousands of souls by the end of 2026. That's the plan, that's the agenda. Now, we might not know how to go about it to attain that, but if we present this plan to God, because most times you can have a plan and then you don't present it to God. And the reason why you're not able to accomplish that plan is because God was never involved. When you involve God, God will tweet the plan in the process. God will say, you know what? Make this plan, make some changes to this plan. Let this plan be in line with my purpose for your life. Let this plan be in line with the goodness of humanity, let this plan be in life that will bring me glory. And then when you acknowledge God in that process, guess what he will do? He will direct your steps. You taking the stepping stones to achieve the milestones in life because God is involved to make sure that every step that you take, every distance that you make to accomplish your plans, God is involved. Proverbs chapter 14, verse 15, the Bible says, The simple believes every word, but the prudent considers well his steps. You see, you are a wise man or a wise woman when you have self-examination of your steps, of your ways. Because you know at the end of the day, your steps and your ways will determine your path eventually. So that is why a prudent man or a woman considers well, considers very well their steps. What step are you taking? Musumba idiots. What step are you taking? Talk to yourself. Talk to yourself, this decision that I'm making, is it gonna glorify God? The decision that I'm making, is it from a selfish intention? This is all part of self-examination. We human beings, we are we are not robots, but sometimes we we act automatically. That is why there are no changes in our lives. When the thoughts that you receive in your head, ask yourself, is this thought from me? Is this thought from God? Is this thought from the devil? That's why the Bible said bring to subjection every imagination, every veil thinking, bring it under Jesus Christ. That is part of self-examination. Your thoughts you examine it, your words you examine it, your actions you examine it, your your your decisions you examine everything about your life, every movement, every plan. You ex you have self-examination while you're in that process of self-examining yourself, involve God in it. That God, I'm thinking this way. Is it right or wrong? I need your guidance. God, I am making this plans. Is it in line with yours? If not, change it. God, I'm trying to make this decision. Is it in line with you? If not, change it. Guess what happens? When you always acknowledge God in all your ways, the Bible said it will make your path straight, it will direct your path. You cannot go wrong. You just cannot go wrong because God is involved. Even while you are going about it, he will cause things to work out for you because you love him and because you are called according to his purpose. Now, let's look at God's evaluation. Job chapter 34, verse 21. For his eyes are on the ways of man, and he sees all the steps. You see, I said off by saying that let us conduct self-examination. God also does self-evaluation of your steps, your ways, and your path. Job says, God's eyes are on the ways of man, he looks at our ways, he looks at our behaviors, he looks at our habits, he looks at our patterns, he looks at our approaches of doing things, our our our processes, our procedures, it looks at all everything. Oh my god, the minor things God looks at, he examines, he looks from heaven to see the hearts of men, he looks at our plans, it looks at what you're thinking right now. Oh my god. And he sees not only he looks inside of you, he sees also outside of you. He sees all your baby steps. The step of waking up in the morning at five to get ready to pray. After that, the step of taking a shower, getting ready to work. Oh my god, he monitors all of these things because he's careful, he monitors your steps to ensure that you're on the right path. In case of any danger, he knows how to maneuver. That's why the Bible said, Our God does not sleep, he does not slumber constantly at watch. And Job chapter 31, verse 4 says, Does he not see my way and count all my steps? So this is Job reference. I'm like, ah, you might think that people don't, people might not see your ways that are hidden. People might not see your steps, but God sees your steps, he sees your ways. You cannot hide your ways from God, you cannot hide your steps from God. He sees them. And guess what? He counts your steps. Okay, you're taking the first step in January. You took the first step in January. Now you're in February. You have some steps that you have to take. He counts them. He counts your walks in life. He counts the distances that you're making in this life, he counts the progresses that you're making, he counts the achievements that you're attaining. That's how meticulous, attentive, detail-oriented God is, child of God. Job chapter 14, verse 16. It says, For for now you number my steps, but but do not watch over my sin. Yes, we see one thing about what God does in terms of evaluation. He sees your steps and your ways. He counts, that is the same as number. He sees and then he counts. Why would God count? Like one, two, three. Wow, God is a mathematician to make sure that one, two, three adds up to two. Two plus two adds up to four. He's counting to make sure that your steps are harding up towards his plan and purpose for your life. He is counting to ensure that your steps and your ways are adding up to the desired path in life that he wants for you. That is why he's counting. Counting, okay, step A. Does step A matches with step B? Is step A in alignment with step C? If step A, you started well, but as you're going, you're in the middle, but you have changed course of action, then God has to count. Okay, let's go back to step A to ensure that step A matches with step B. Now, step B also has to match with step C. That is counting your steps to make sure you're on the right path. Because just one step can turn you off. That is why we have to fight against what? Distraction. Distraction can derail us, distraction can take us, of course. And that's the that's distraction is the one of the weapons of the enemy apart from deception. Satan uses deception and he uses distraction. Jesus gave a parable of the seed. There were many distractions when people, when people are in church. It's all about prioritization. Prioritize him first, and he will help you too. He will help and add all these other things that we need in this life. We need God to help us. But if we want to be God and play life, we're gonna be frustrated, we're gonna be overwhelmed, we're gonna be tired, we're gonna be, oh my God, we're gonna be depressed, distressed, and stress and burnout. That is why Jesus said, Come unto me, he that are heavy laden and every burden, and I will give you rest. My yoke is easy, my body is light. God wants to make life easy for us, especially when we entrust Him. He wants to walk this life with us, He wants to take steps with us, He wants to guide our ways, leading to a better path in life. So He says in Proverbs chapter 16, verse 2 now, regarding God's evaluation, all the ways of a man appear in his own eyes. You see, we are self-deceived, thinking that oh, my ways are okay, my ways of doing church is okay, my ways of running the family is okay, my ways of doing the particular job is okay, and we don't want to change. Life, life changes. Look, for example, AI. AI is is disrupting every aspect of life, even church too. People now have to look onto AI to compile their sermons. AI is pretty much replacing our thinking, our doing. What do we do? We cannot stop this force. We just have to be more smarter than AI. You have to be willing to change, or else you might think, you know what? No, I'm not gonna go with the change. I'm gonna be wise in my own eyes, I'm gonna just gonna continue to do whatever I've been doing. No, but the Bible says all the ways of a man are pure in his own eyes. It's good, it's pure, it's perfect, it's cleansed, sanctified, holy. There's no changes. In my own eyes, everything is right. My way of life is good, my way of thinking is good, that poverty mindset is good, that walking hard like an elephant, eating like an ant is good. While others are walking like ants, but you are eating like elephants, and you're saying you walking like an elephant, eating like an ant is good. That's you being pure in your own eyes. That's just an example. But the Bible said, But the Lord waits is the spirit. God goes deep, He goes deep to evaluate, to analyze your spirit, your human composition of you being a spirit, soul, and body. To say, Oh, where is this thought coming from? Where is this mindset originating from? Where is this thinking habit coming from? Is it from society? Is it from your own upbringing? Is it from your own traumas? Where is this thought coming from? Where is this way of thinking coming from? Why, where is this way of doing things coming from? Child of God, sometimes you have to ask yourself the why. Ask yourself whatever you're doing in this life, whatever you're going to see, whatever you're going to do, whatever you're going to think, whatever you're going to plan, ask one important question. Why? And when you're asking this why question, make sure what am I doing? Why am I doing this? Is it in line with God? Does it please God? That's number one. Number two, when you're answering that question, why is this is this for my own betterment? Meaning that does this help me to become a better person? Does this what I'm trying to do or say or plan, does it make my life a blessing? Does it make my life fruitful? And then number three, the why that you ask yourself is is this going to positively impact people around me, or is this going to negatively impact people around me? Because you have three people to think about your life. You see, sometimes we as human beings, we think that our our our our we living does not impact other people, it impacts God, it impacts yourself, it also impacts people around you. So you're not pretty much you're not living for yourself in this life. You're not living for yourself, you're living for God. After God, you're living for yourself and then you're living for others. Because whatever you do is gonna affect your children, whatever you do as a minister is gonna affect your church, whatever you do as a parent is gonna affect your family. Whatever you do as a boss in the workplace is gonna affect your your employees. Whatever you do as an employer is gonna affect your employer, whatever you do as a citizen is gonna affect the government, whatever the government does is gonna affect the citizens. So pretty much we are interconnected, interrelated, interdependent. That's why God said it's not good for a man to be alone in Genesis. So your ways would definitely affect other people. So ask the always ask the why, because God does the same thing. He asks the why. Why is Musumba Edith doing this? Why is Madam Olivia doing this? Why is Madam Charity doing this? Why is Madame Angel doing this? Why is Sister Shaba doing this? Why is Madame Tina doing this? Why is Sherry doing this? Why? Always ask yourself, amen. And then Proverbs chapter 5, verse 21, it states, for the ways of man are before the eyes of the Lord. Again, this is God evaluating the ways of man in set before his eyes, and he ponders all his paths. Oh my God. Your ways, God is looking at it, God is constantly watching. Let me see if I've asked this young man to stop this addiction because I see the path. Ah Lako. Do you know why? God is so precise, so concern, constantly watching your steps and your ways because he knows the end result, he knows the path. The path is the direction and the destination of your life. God knows that your steps and your ways will determine your paths eventually. Because he's a gracious father, he's a loving father. While you're taking the steps and your ways, and some of them are wrong, God wants to correct them. That is why the Bible said he counts your steps. That part of the counting and numbering is for God to correct when correction is necessary. He's like a father who is oh my God. That's why he said he loves those he corrects. If God does not love you, he will not correct you. So correction is no, it's not evil. Correction is good. Because correction will bring us back when we are distracted, when we are derailed. The Bible says he ponders all his paths, making sure that your steps and your ways would lead to a good path at the end. Because God is the omnipotent God. He sees the end from the beginning. He knows that certain steps that you're taking in your own personal life, certain steps and ways that you're taking in your family, in the church is now leading to a good path. That is why he is constantly watching to see, bringing your ways and your steps before his eyes and pondering what will be the end results. Oh my God, what a wonderful God that we have for him to constantly think about us like this. Because he knows we're not perfect, he knows our heart is deceitful. That is why sometimes even when we don't invite him, he invites himself. Oh my god. When we don't invite God, he invites himself because we are bought. Do you know why we are redeemed when the Bible says that we are bought? When you are bought, when you're a slave, sometimes you have no right to. Sometimes God has to intervene without your permission. Because you are bought, you are his and and and he's like a master. That's why we call him Lord, Adonai. He's like a master. Sometimes he does not need permission to intervene in your life because he knows he has to. Sometimes he will he will seek your will, but most times he will just intervene. Because we are bought, we are redeemed by his blood. He purchased us, so he owns us, so he has the right to take charge, he has the right to intervene, he has the right to do whatever he wants to do. So in verse Maya chapter 10, verse 23, oh Lord, I know the way of man is not in himself. It is not in man who walks to direct his own steps. Jeremiah just nailed it. He said, God, you know that the way of a man is not in himself, because there are many factors that influence you as a man in your ways. There are many, many factors, many, many backgrounds, many, many reasons why you do certain things, why you keep doing the same thing, many, many things from your family background, from your childhood upbringing, from school, from society, from yourself, even from the devil. That's why the Bible says, do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the reunion of your mind. The Bible is very precise, and the Bible says it's the sort of the spirit that can transform our human composition of being spirit, soul, and body. Because God is saying the only way, the only way I can change the ways, the steps that will lead to a good path in life for my daughter, for my son, I have to intervene, I have to teach them, I have to show them. Moses is so wise, God. Moses said, God, show me your ways. That is what we should be praying that God show me your ways. My ways have failed me, my steps have failed me. But God, you show me your ways. So Jeremiah is saying that God, the way of a man is not in himself. He might think that he has his own ways, he might think that he might be wise in his own eyes and determine his own lifestyle and his own life path. But God truly, the way of a man is not in himself. It is not in a man who is able to direct his own step in the right place. At times we're not able to direct our own steps, we're not able to make decisions on our own. That's why the Bible calls us children to always acknowledge God in all our ways. Why are you struggling in that relationship by yourself? Why are you struggling in your home by yourself? Why are you struggling with that sickness by yourself? Why are you struggling in ministry by yourself? Why are you struggling in that workplace when God is saying, in all your ways, acknowledge me and I will direct your path? You have sought counseling, you have been prayed for, you have been delivered. But why won't you now say that, God? It doesn't matter if this is just a minor case. I need your advice. The Bible said, Cast all your chaos. If you look at that word all, all God is saying all, inclusive the physical needs, the financial needs, the emotional needs, the social needs. We only come to God, we as believers, just for God to take care of our spiritual needs. But don't forget the human compositions. I keep emphasizing on this that you are body, soul, and spirit. Don't just take care of the spiritual man, take care of the body. If you need to eat, God, I'm hungry, but I've not been eating. Proverbs chapter 20, verse 24, it says, A man's steps are of the Lord. How then can a man understand his way? Sometimes God predetermines our steps, especially when you are called by God. And when you call God, when you acknowledge God, He will predetermine your steps. And when sometimes when God defines, dictates your steps and your ways, you might not understand at times. Because we expect everything to be smooth. Yes, it's good to expect everything to be smooth, but sometimes God will lead you in the wilderness. You might think that where God is leading you is of the devil. I mean, the Holy Spirit led Jesus in the wilderness to be tempted. Sometimes the steps and the ways of God might not be favorable, they might not be pleasant, they might be very harsh. Where God is saying that I'm gonna put you in this condition where you have to exercise patience, where people are gonna annoy you, where people are gonna offend you. Why is he doing that? To purify your heart. Sometimes he will dictate or direct our steps and our ways in situations for our spiritual growth, for our character growth. And at times we might conclude, God, I don't understand what you're doing. I don't understand why you're making me loving this woman that cannot be loved. I don't understand why you're making me um doing this church that the members are not committed. God, I don't understand why you're sending me to this house or God. I don't understand. You might not understand now, but you know what? God understands the end result, the path. We don't we might not know how God does things at times, but what we need to know is that at the end of the day, it's gonna turn out to be good because the Bible says he will cause all things to work together good to those who love him, to those who are called according to his purpose. Amen. So, Proverbs chapter 16, verse 9. A man's heart plans his way, but the Lord directs his steps. I've said that already now. God's explanation, Psalm 17, verse 5 says, Uphold my steps in your paths, that my footsteps may not sleep. This is again the psalmist is saying that God I want you to uphold my steps. Wow, I want you to hold my steps so in case while I am walking from one distance to another, leading to a defined destined path. Please help me so that I don't sleep. Help me, help me up all my steps in your path, in your established path. Because most times we want to define the path. Allow God to define the path for you because the path is your end. When you allow God to define the path for you, the end, when you know your end, your meaning that your purpose and and how God wants you to live your life and and your destination. What you want to do now, God, direct my steps, God uphold my steps, direct my steps and my ways. While I am taking necessary steps and walking out in a particular way, I want you to direct it while I am doing that. At times I might be shaky, I might be doubtful because I'm like, okay, God, I don't trust your method in this way. God, I don't want to take this step. I'm I'm too afraid to take these steps, this risk. I'm too afraid to take this step. But God, you know what? Preserve me, uphold me, up me, hold me with faith, hold me with assurance, hold me with confirmation. And then Psalms 103, verse 7. He made known his ways to Moses, his acts to the children of Israel.

He made known his ways because Moses asked for it. Moses asked for it. Moses asked for it. Moses said, God, show me your way, show me your glory. And God did. God made known his ways because Moses has his own way. But Moses said, No, God, I don't want to depend on relying on my own ways. God, I prefer your own ways. Remember when Moses wanted to be a deliverer by killing? That was his way. That was not God's way. Because Moses knew his path as a leader, as a deliverer. But the process in moving towards that destined path, that was his own steps and ways. And one of them, he killed an Egyptian. That is why God took him to the wilderness for 40 days. He said, God, Moses, you have been doing your own ways in life. You have been taking your own steps of action. But now come before me. Same applies to Israel. Sometimes we have to wrestle with God with our ways because we don't want to let go of our ways because we are our own gods with our own ways. No, God, I know better. God, I am wise in my own eyes. You cannot change my ways of doing things. You cannot change the steps that I'm taking. When God is saying that, but I know your path, and that path is not going to lead you in a very good place. Moses is wise and humble. It takes wisdom and humility for you to say, God, take control over my steps and my ways. God, change my steps and my ways. It takes a person who applies wisdom and who is also humble to acknowledge that you know what? My own ways are not good. Say, and over my life for God's direction and detection. Psalm 51, verse 13, it says, Then I will teach transgression your ways, and sinners shall be converted to you. This is the psalm is saying that God, after you have dealt with me, especially this applies to us as ministers, our goal is to teach sinners the ways of God. That's what Jesus came to do. He came to show us the ways of God, kingdom ways of doing things, kingdom ways of thinking, kingdom ways of speaking, kingdom ways of making decisions. So we as ministers, when we discover and apply the ways and the steps of God, we should also teach others, show others, train others in the ways of God. Just as Moses was requesting. So the psalmist is in that God, I don't want to depend on my own ways. Even I don't want to define my own path. But I want you to show me your way, not my ways. Your ways, your ways, God, how you do things, your methods, your processes, your procedures, about life, everything about life, all your ways, God. I want to know your ways to do ministry, your ways to do family, your ways to do business, your ways to do community, your ways to get in uh to work, your ways in every aspect of life. God has a way. Telling you, God has a way. And his ways are always better. He says, Show me your ways, God. Teach me, show me. Let me see how you do it so I can pattern my life according to that. That is why we are called Christians. Because our life has to be patterned with who? Christ. Our lives have to be patterned with Christ for us to claim such title as Christians when our lives don't even reflect Christ. Our ways, our steps, our path all have to be similar, like Christ. Teach me your path, Lord. Teach me your defined destination. Teach me your end destiny for my life. Teach me how to get there. Teach me, show it to me. Two more scriptures before I'm done. Psalm 119, verse 133 says, Direct my steps by your word. One way that God can direct your steps to be more practical, it is by his word. The Bible is full of instructions about how we can make certain steps in life, how we can live in certain ways. The Bible is full of instructions, scripturally led and spiritually led. That's why the Bible says, be led by the Spirit. Do you know why? That's why the Bible says walk in the spirit. All of this connotes your steps, your ways, and your path. Walk in the spirit. You will not fulfill the lust of the flesh, you will not fulfill the lust of the eye, you will not fulfill the pride of life. When you walk in the spirit, it will guide, it will direct, it will dictate, it will define your steps and your ways, eventually leading to a favorable, glorified path that brings glory to God. And then scripturally instructed, as the psalmist is saying that God direct, lead, dictate, guide my steps. How? By your word, not in myself, not in my own wisdom, not from my friends, but by your word. That's why the Bible said the scripture is profitable for reproof, for correction, for training, right, for training righteousness, so that the man of God, the woman of God can be equipped for every what, every good works. So, child of God, if you want to change your steps, you want to change your ways, leading to a wonderful path in life at the end. Let the scripture direct, dictate, define your steps and your ways for you, and also the Holy Spirit. Finally, Psalms 37, verse 23. These steps, this the steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord, and he delights in his way. So, oh God. So for God to delight in your steps and your ways, knowing for sure that it's going to end to a good path, you have to be a good man. And a good man in the Bible, or a righteous man in the Bible, is a man who fears God, who fears God and has faith in God. So the psalmist is saying that the steps of a good man who fears God, who walks blamelessly, who walks righteously before God, who has faith in God, this good man, his steps are ordered by the Lord. What okay, just to summarize what God does, he sees our steps and our ways. He counts or numbers our steps and our ways. Now, he also directs our steps and our ways. And he also the he also others our steps and our ways. We need that. We need him to see. When he sees, he can make the necessary corrections. We need him to count to make sure that A, we are moving from point A to point B. We need him, we need him to direct. At times when we're trying to go the wrong way, he will tell us go this direction, go that way, move that way. We need that. And he will order our steps, he will prioritize our steps, he will structure our steps. Okay, I want you to focus on this for now. Major in the mind, major, minor in the minor. Sometimes we we minor in the major, we major in the minor. But God will change that process. He will make you to major in the major, and then you're minor in the minor because your life is tied within time. So make sure that you focus on the things that are very essential. Him first, your family, ministry, work, business, and also your character, your development. So a good man or a good woman, their steps are ordered. By who? By the Lord. And because God, oh my God, but because God ordered the steps of a good man or a good woman, guess what happened? God would delight in his way. Why would God delight in his way? Because God is the one who ordered his steps or our steps. If you don't allow God to order your step, God will not be delight with your way and your path. Who knows what will be your path? It's a process. God takes care of your steps and then your ways and then your path. You see, your steps are where you make all the necessary changes. Your way is hard to make changes in your way. Because sometimes your way they are preconceived, inbuilt, over time, learned, acquired, programmed ways of doing things. That if you're not careful, you say this is who I am, your ways become your lifestyle, your way becomes your habit, your characteristics, and you're so ingrained in you. That is why you can make changes with steps, but it's very hard to make changes in your ways. I can't even talk about your path because your paths are already predefined by your steps and your ways. So to conclude with this, if you want to make changes in your life, allow God to order your steps. Those tiny, tiny steps that you're taking, those tiny, tiny walks that you're taking. Sometimes we think that, oh, the only way we have done great things is the big accomplishment. No. Life is live by moment, by steps. Life is live by steps. If you want to accomplish a big project, you have to take a step, you have to take a step, you have to take a step. If you want to climb the top of the mountain, you have to take one step at a time. But some of us we just want to wake up in the morning. Oh, God, I want to reach to the top. It's a life. God does not work like that. Baby steps. And when you allow God to order, to direct, to see your steps, He will be delighted in your ways because He knows that your steps influence your ways. And both your steps and your ways determine your path in life. Father God, I thank you for this precious time of your word. Lord, I just pray that you will help us to understand that you see our steps, our ways. We pray that God you will count our steps in our ways. We pray that God you will direct our steps in our ways. We pray that God you will order our steps in our ways so that you can take delight in them and lead us to a wonderful path, a path of internal life, a path of abundant life. In Jesus' precious, powerful name I've prayed. Amen. God bless you. Thank you.
