Opening Prayer For Guidance

SPEAKER_00

God, you know it all. And Holy Spirit, you are indeed the Spirit of truth. And without you, we cannot know anything about God. We cannot know anything about Jesus. So that is why we are here to ask you, Holy Spirit, to take over my mind, take over my heart, take over my will. I submit my will to you. I submit my intellect, my human experiences. I don't want to speak any of my counsel. I don't want to speak any of my ideas. I am just an instrument. I am just a vessel. I am just a mere servant that you can use to communicate to your people. Because when you speak, you speak life. When you speak, you speak restoration. When you speak, you speak deliverance. When you speak, you speak healing. When you speak, you speak impact. Lord, that is why I don't want to be the one to speak, but you speak through me to your people, Heavenly Father. Just take over this mouth, take over my mind to do whatever you want to do for us this morning. This we ask in Jesus' precious, powerful name we have prayed. Amen.

Holy Spirit Creates Changes Conquers

SPEAKER_00

Today we are on the theme of Holy Spirit, and my focal point is the Holy Spirit creates, changes, and conquers. The Holy Spirit creates, changes, and conquers. The Holy Spirit, as we all know, and most times we tend to associate him only with power, but the Holy Spirit is a person who possesses the fullness of power. The Holy Spirit is part of the Godhead. He is God the Spirit. We also have God the Father, God the Son, and in God the Spirit. All of them are equal, essence, distinct in functions. So one of the functions of the Holy Spirit or mandate of the Holy Spirit is He creates, He changes, He conquers. We're gonna look at scriptures in the Old and New Testament to see the power of the Holy Spirit able to create, change, and conquer things, entities, or situations. So how can this um message be applicable to you with regards to the Holy Spirit? I just want you to know that He that is in you, that is God the Spirit, is in you, so He is so much capable to create things that are dead in your life, He is able to create things that are unseen in your life, and He's also able to change things that you are not able to change. And if you're dealing with prolonged, stubborn battles in your life, I'm here to encourage you, I'm here to remind you that greater is He that is in you, that is the Holy Spirit, than He that is in the world. He's able to conquer all things, all situations, challenges that you're facing in your life, and all demonic entities. So we have the most powerful person in the world living in all of us, and it's not limited to so kid, only certain people have the Holy Spirit. No, that is why Jesus said it's better for me to go because I was limited as a human being, and when the Holy Spirit, who is the helper, who proceeds from the Father, when He comes, guess what's gonna happen? He is not limited by time, space, or matter. That same Holy Spirit that worketh in Paul, that's the same Holy Spirit that walketh in in Peter, that same Holy Spirit that we see in Jesus, operating in Jesus, going about doing good works. That same Holy Spirit arrived on Pentecost, fill up the men of God, that same Holy Spirit is also in us. That same Holy Spirit is in Uganda doing marvelous things, that same Holy Spirit is also in Kenya and China, he is everywhere.

Why The Holy Spirit Is Divine

SPEAKER_00

So this is who we're talking about: the Holy Spirit, He is divine, meaning that He possesses three essential qualities of what makes somebody or an entity a deity. That is, the Holy Spirit is omnipresent, meaning that he is everywhere at the same time. You see, the difference between the Holy Spirit and other spirits is that the Holy Spirit is omnipresent, meaning that he is everywhere at the same time, whereas other spirits don't have such divine quality. Satan, even though he's a spiritual entity, or demons, even though they are spiritual entities, or angels, even though they are spiritual entities, but they do not possess the what makes a deity omnipresent, they do not possess that quality of a deity. Angels cannot be everywhere at the same time. They have to um occupy space when they are done, then they're they have this supernatural capacity to fly to another place. That is why Satan was said when Satan fell from heaven, he didn't come by himself, he didn't fall by himself, he was able to deceive some angels, and it and those angels now became demonic entities, and that is why at times you might not be directly attacked by the devil itself, he might assign a demon to attack you, an evil spirit to attack you. And Jesus dealt with a lot of evil spirits while he also dealt with your master Satan. See, which shows that Satan is limited in terms of space, time, and matter, and demonic spirits, they are limited, even angels are limited. So that distinguished them from the Holy Spirit, who is the omnipresence. That is why Jesus said to his disciples that it's better for me to go when the Holy Spirit comes, he's able to occupy space, time, and matter all over the earth. That is so profound, just for us to know the power of the Holy Spirit in terms of his presence, how he's able to occupy a space, an atmosphere, an environment all by himself at the same time, at the same time in real time, and also another quality of the Holy Spirit that is all powerful, he is all powerful, omnipotent. There's nothing that he cannot do, he creates, he changes, he conquers. That's where my focus is when it comes to him exhibiting his power. He can create anything, he can change anything, he can conquer anything. He reveals the mind of God, he tells us who God is, He He explains the Bible to us, He illuminates the scriptures for us to see things clearly, He reveals divine spiritual principles and insights. So He's also the Omni sense. Since God, we know create things, change things, conquer things, the Holy Spirit, also God and part of the Godhead, demonstrates divine power to create, bring about change, and conquer in several key areas. So we're gonna do a case studies in these several key areas where we see the demonstration of the Holy Spirit in action, in creating, changing, and conquering.

Genesis Chaos And The Spirit Hovering

SPEAKER_00

First, creation of the chaotic earth, conception of Jesus, Christ's resurrection, Christian's new birth, being born again. So let's look at our first case study that is creation of the chaotic earth. Okay, so let's go to um Genesis chapter 1 verse 2. Let's look at the conditions of the earth at that time, and then we're gonna look at the cause, what happened after, okay? The creation of the chaotic earth, the condition is stated in three points. Number one, the earth was without form, a state of not having a shape or structure of an area or space. So at this point, this earth that we are in didn't have any shape or structure at all. Number two, the earth was void, a state of emptiness. So the earth didn't have anything, anything at all. It was completely empty. Number three, darkness, the earth was without visibility, was on the face of the deep. That is the surface of the ocean. And when we talk about the deep, that's very interesting. Bible students is that that is the depths below the surface of the bodies of water that tend to be very dark, inaccessible, and sometimes people see it as a mysterious location controlled by objects with vast powers. That is the depth of the earth. So this deep that we're talking about is very, very symbolic. But I'm not gonna, I'm not gonna go, I'm not gonna get there in terms of the theology of biblical scholars because of time, but just to let you know that it wasn't just a deep, there's some implication to this deep, there's some dark forces to this deep. We see that in Genesis chapter 1, verse 2. After we we are introduced God as the creator of the heavens and the earth, but something happened to the earth, it was without form and void, and darkness was on the face of the deep. But now, guess what happened? The introduction of the Holy Spirit. So we see in Genesis chapter 1, verse 1, the introduction of God the Father as the creator, and we also see the introduction of God the Spirit, and we shall see the introduction of God the Son, which is at times He represents Himself as the light, okay, as the light. So the Godhead, all of them took part in the creation of the world of the heavens and the earth. All of them took part, okay. We see God the Father is mentioned, we see God the Spirit is mentioned, we also see God the Son is also mentioned, but in a very symbolic way as light. Jeremiah chapter 4, verse 23 confirms the reality of the state of the earth at that time. Look what it states I be L the earth, and indeed it was without form and void, and the heavens they had no light. The Bible is such a phenomenal book that it references itself, it tells you itself this is uh uh an actual reality to the condition of the earth that Jeremiah is saying that I be L the earth and indeed it was without form and void. Exactly what Moses wrote in Genesis chapter 1, verse 2, Jeremiah is confirming such a reality existed, but God intervened by introducing the Holy Spirit to do something very marvelous. After darkness was on the face of the deep, the Bible states in that same verse that and the spirit of God, so God didn't just leave the earth in that state of being void, formless, and darkness was on the face of the deep. God introduced his spirit, and the spirit of God was over in over the face of the waters. Okay, now the spirit of God was overing over where darkness was already in place, where darkness was, because in that same verse 2, and darkness was on the face of the deep. So why was the Holy Spirit now taking charge over the face of the waters where darkness was? And that word study of over in Hebrew, it means rahab to anch in the air, and yet the Bible says Satan is the prince of the air, lie or be suspended above over, to remain in one place in the air, to linger. Wow, and then it's it's also like a non-linear flying motion of an object which is stationary above a surface, so he was above the surface of the waters with a possibility associated meaning of caring super tendency over an object or dominion. So, what we see here, the Holy Spirit was essentially taking charge of that domain of darkness, the Holy Spirit was taking charge of that domain of darkness. That is why Jesus will say that the light shines in darkness, and darkness did not comprehend it. Why? Because the Holy Spirit over the face of the waters where the darkness was, and that's when now God spoke light into existence. But before God spoke light into existence, God took charge over the darkness by the Holy Spirit. We can bring this in our own lives. Sometimes we want to change situations in our lives, sometimes we want we want to see the power of God manifested, but we need to associate, we need to relate with the Holy Spirit to make it possible. Okay, so we see that the light shines and darkness, and darkness did not comprehend it, because the Holy Spirit took charge over the face of the deep, where darkness was on the face of the deep, and the spirit of God was over and over the face of the waters, and that's how if you read if you continue to read the book of um Genesis, we see that we see the first creation was light. God divided light from darkness, and then the second creation was the famine, which God called heaven. But God, the famine proceeded from the waters, the famine and the heaven proceeded from the waters, and light was divided from darkness. So Holy Spirit dealt with darkness and waters, because from darkness God divided the light. From the waters, God divided the waters from the waters, and then the famine was spoken into existence, which God called heaven. So the Holy Spirit dealt with two phenomena. When you read that account, we don't know the emergence of waters, we don't know the emergence of darkness, but we know light was spoken into, we know the famine was spoken into, but there's no record. I know God created everything, right? But there's no record of the emergence of waters and the emergence of darkness in that Genesis account. That's another time, okay.

Virgin Birth And God’s Possibility

SPEAKER_00

Now let's look at the conception of Jesus in terms of the Holy Spirit creates, changes, and conquers. Very interesting. It is impossible. That is the condition now, like when it comes to the conception of Jesus, it is impossible for a human virgin to give birth, female human virgin to give birth. That is impossible. I've never seen that in our world today. If Adam and Eve were created by God without human sexual intercourse, and we also see instances in the old testament with cases of barren women and women and men of all age having children being made possible. Okay, then what makes you think that our God is not able to make a virgin woman give birth? It's definitely possible for a virgin birth, because Adam and Eve were created without human sexual intercourse. There are women in the Bible who were barren, and men and women who were of age couldn't have children, but God made it possible. So when people say that no, the virgin birth is impossible, the virgin birth of Jesus is impossible. I laugh because Adam and Eve were created by God without human sexual intercourse. Yes, with us as men, certain things are impossible, but not so with God, all things are possible. If you look at it, for example, okay, Matthew chapter 1, verse 23 to 23 states, So all this was done that it might be fulfilled, which was spoken by the Lord through the prophet. That is Isaiah 7, verse 14, which states that therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign. That is, the sign is behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and he shall call his name Emmanuel. So the virgin birth of Jesus Christ was one of the significant signs that made Jesus Christ so unique, so special to the children of Israel. That this was not just an ordinary man, he is the only one of Israel, that holy thing. So this prophecy was then fulfilled in Mary. So this was a prophecy of a virgin giving birth. So that is the condition of Jesus Christ in his conception. What made it possible? Because Jesus was conceived by the Holy Spirit, he was conceived by the Holy Spirit with Mary who remained a virgin serving as the human carrier. I'm pretty sure God could have created Jesus without Mary, just as God created Adam and Eve without a man or a woman or without Eve. If God can create Adam without Eve, then I believe that God could have created Jesus without Mary. But because God is a respecter of his own rules and regulations, is a respecter of his own laws, that is why, in the natural way of giving birth, God has to go through that process. So the Holy Spirit concealed Jesus with Mary, who remained a virgin without any sperm of a man interrupting, whereas Mary was just serving as the human carrier of Jesus Christ. Matthew chapter 1, verse 18. Now the birth of Jesus was as follows. After his mother Mary was betrothed to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with a child of the Holy Spirit. That word before they came together means before they had sexual intercourse, Mary was found with a child of the Holy Spirit. And then after that, Joseph has sexual intercourse with Mary, and then they conceive their own children. So the Bible is very, very specific in its language. Okay. Matthew chapter 1, verse 20, it states, for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit. Again, just to clarify, the conception of Jesus Christ by the Holy Spirit, not by Joseph, a man. Mary was just a carrier of Jesus.

Resurrection Power Over Sin And Death

SPEAKER_00

Now, another case study is Christ's resurrection. To see the Holy Spirit in action in terms of He is capable to do what? To create, to change, and to conquer. And we see that in Christ's creation. Let's look at the conditions. Sin and death. That is a condition. Sin and death. 1 Peter 3 18 states, for Christ also suffered once for sins. Because of our sins, Christ suffered. Suffered until death. The just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh. So we see the condition of Jesus Christ. He was made no sin, he who knew no sin, and he died because of our sin. The sin part is that Christ couldn't see any corruption. Sin could not corrupt Jesus. As a statement, Acts chapter 2, verse 27. Nor will you allow your holy one to see corruption. You and I, sin corrupted us already. We already corrupted by sin. But sin could not corrupt Jesus. Okay? Now, death. The pains of death could not hold Christ. So we see that sin could not corrupt Jesus, and death could not hold Christ. All because of the Holy Spirit. Sin could not corrupt Jesus because Jesus was conceived by the Holy Spirit. And the Bible states to Mary that that which is in you is of the Holy One. So sin could not corrupt Jesus, and death could not hold Christ. Because those are the two conditions that were affecting Jesus Christ. Sin and death. And he became sin for us and he died for our sin. But sin could not corrupt Jesus, and death could not hold Christ. Look what it states in Acts chapter 2, verse 24. Lose the pains of death because it was not possible that it should be held by it. Death is it's it's it's impossible for death to hold Christ because of the Holy Spirit. Now let's look at the cause of life. The Holy Spirit raised Christ from the death. Dead. So the Holy Spirit made Jesus alive from death. Yes. The Holy Spirit raised Christ from the dead. He made Jesus alive from death because sin could not corrupt Jesus and death could not all Christ. Child of God, I'm here to remind us that that same Holy Spirit that resurrected Jesus from the death. That is the same Holy Spirit that will resurrect us. Look what it states in 1 Peter chapter 3, verse 18. Being put to death in the flesh. That is the physical Jesus that died. Okay, not the spiritual Jesus, not the Son of God Jesus. That is the human Jesus that died. Being put to death in the flesh, but made alive by the Spirit. What do we see here? The Spirit of God conquer death in the life of the physical Jesus. He made him alive. Look what it stated in Romans chapter 1, verse 4. And declared to be the Son of God with power according to the Spirit of holiness by the resurrection from the dead. What do we see here? Sin could not hold Jesus, could not corrupt Jesus, and death could not hold Jesus, because according to the power, power according to the spirit of holiness by the resurrection from the dead. See? We see the Holy Spirit in action in creation. Now we see the Holy Spirit in action in Christ. What makes you think that the same Holy Spirit that took charge over this universe when the earth was without form, void, and dark, he took action. What makes you think that Jesus Christ, sin could not corrupt him, and death could not hold him? The Holy Spirit was involved to make that possible. Child of God, you as a child of God, as a believer, that same Holy Spirit is in you. That is why the Bible said, Greater is he that is in you than he that is in the world, Satan, that fights against your destiny, that fights against your life. The last case study here is Christian's new birth, being born again.

New Birth And Spirit-Led Change

SPEAKER_00

So we see that the Holy Spirit is the author of our new birth, that is being born again. Okay, what is the condition? The condition of our state of sin and death, just as Jesus Christ, sin and death happened to us as human beings, started in Genesis chapter 2, verse 16 to 17. When God gave a command to Adam, it states, and the Lord God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden you may freely eat, but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you should not eat, for in a day that you eat of it you shall surely die. And then why did Jesus state that? Man does not live by bread alone, but every word that proceeds from the mouth of God. Because what made us to sin against God is because of food. What makes us to live in God is because of food again. What kind of food? The word of God. And Jesus Christ is the manner of God. And that is why Jesus Christ said, Eat of my flesh and drink my blood. Some people, when they heard that, they ran away from him. This guy is a beast. You want me to eat your blood? You want me to drink your blood? You want me to eat your flesh? Jesus, are you insane? He was just speaking in a very symbolic way, figure of speech, saying that the same way Adam and Eve fell because of food, for you to actually stand up and live and have eternity, you have to eat of me, eat my flesh, drink my blood. So we see that same trend from Genesis in the Old Testament to the New Testament. Okay? Romans chapter 5, verse 12, another condition of this issue. Therefore, just as true one man, sin entered the world, that is Adam, true one man, sin entered the world, and death true sin. Because of Adam's disobedience to God, sin entered the world. And because of sin, death entered the world. So sin and death go hand in hand. And that is what could not sin could not corrupt Jesus, death could not hold Jesus. Sin corrupted us, death is older than us. But because you choose to believe in Jesus, sin has no power over you. Even when you die, you will live again because of Jesus. And thou death spread to all men because all have sinned. That is our condition, child of God. Sin and death. Death spread to all men. I don't care who you are: male, female, young, old, um, um, small or great, black or white, we're all gonna die one day, and we have all sinned against God, and we all need a personal savior. Okay, let's look at the cause of life. The Holy Spirit creates the new birth in us. You must be born of the spirit, or you cannot enter the kingdom of God. So, the criteria to have access in the domain of God, or for God to rule over your life, for God to be in charge over your life, you need to be born of the spirit. As it states in John chapter 3, verse 5 to 6, it states, Jesus answered, most assured I say to you, unless one is born of water and the spirit. Why do you why do you think Jesus is mentioning water and the spirit? Again, this reminds of of what the Genesis account, Genesis chapter 1, verse 2. Water and the spirit. So he's saying that unless one is born of water and the spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the spirit is spirit. So in our spiritual birth, our second birth in the spirit has to be as a result of the Holy Spirit. He creates that new birth possible. Not because of you, not because of your flesh, not because of your own will, not because of anybody else, it's because of God and God is spirit. Since the Holy Spirit proceeds from God the Father, this means you are also born of God. Those born of God overcome the world because they believe that Jesus is the Son of God. According to 1 John chapter 5, verse 4 to 5. For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. So you and I we are born of God, and we are born by the Holy Spirit. Okay, not only that, the Holy Spirit creates a new birth in us, but the Holy Spirit also changes us into a new creation. So if you want to be transformed, it will take the Holy Spirit. Look what it states in Ezekiel chapter 36, verse 27. I will put my spirit within you and cause you to walk in my statutes, and you will keep my just judgments and do them. So for you to walk in the ways of God, for you to follow the commands of God, God needs to put his spirit within you to make it possible. So the changes that you're looking for, it will take the Holy Spirit to do the work in you. Now look what is states in Romans chapter 15, verse 16 that I may be a minister of Jesus Christ to the Gentiles, ministering the gospel of God, that the offering of the gentiles might be acceptable, sanctified by the Holy Spirit. So our sanctification occurs as a result of the Holy Spirit. Look what is stated in 1 Corinthians chapter 6, verse 11, when it comes to Holy Spirit, changes us into a new creation. As such, we're some of you again. Yeah, some of us were womanizers, we are liars, we are drunkards, we are fornicators, we are um um murderers. Some of us that's that's that's our past life. But guess what happened? But you were washed, but you were sanctified. We were washed by the blood of Jesus, but we were sanctified, but you were justified. Oh my god, in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of God, we are justified by the name of Jesus Christ, we are sanctified by the Spirit of our Lord. So that sanctification to make you holy, the Holy Spirit has to get involved. You can do by yourself. So we're not just talking about a far distance relationship with the Holy Spirit. This should open your eye to embrace Him, to hold on to Him, because He He creates, He changes, He conquers, and that's exactly what we want. We want to see changes in our lives, we want things to be created in our lives, we want to be more than conquerors, and the Holy Spirit can make that possible.

Fruit Of The Spirit And Conquering Sin

SPEAKER_00

Look what it states in Galatians chapter 5, verse 22 to 26. We're all familiar with the fruit of the spirit, consists of what love, joy, peace, long-suffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there's no law. Wow, against such no law, and those who are Christ have crucified the flesh, that is our sin with passions and desires. If we live in the spirit, also let us also walk in the spirit.

unknown

Wow.

SPEAKER_00

So we see all this character attributes of godliness and goodness by the fruit of the spirit, love, peace, long suffering. So if you want to change, change into love from hatred, change into joy from sadness, change into peace from chaos. You need who the Holy Spirit. Okay, now conquer the power of sin and death in our lives. Look what it states in 1 John 4:4. You are of godly to children, and have overcome them because he who is in you is greater than he who is in the world. We see that in order for you and I to conquer sin in the world, we're gonna need who? The Holy Spirit. To conquer society, you need the Holy Spirit. To conquer sin in yourself, you need the Holy Spirit, and also to conquer Satan, you need the Holy Spirit. The three S's that we deal with self, sin, self with sin, society with sin, Satan with sin. Satan can make us to sin, our society can make us to sin, we ourselves we can make ourselves to sin. And the Holy Spirit can give us the power to conquer sin in ourselves, in society, and from Satan.
